The worst possible bug ... in game save / load system. I've just lost about 4 hours of playtime. ♥♥♥♥ this game.

Why are you wasting time reading this review instead of playing Crab Champions.

TL;DR
- Pros

• Amazing graphics ( if you have good hardware )
  
• Fun mechanics ( for the most part )
  
• Fun activities

- Cons

• Preachy ( they try to make you feel what they want and when they want )
  
• Overall bad story ( becomes interesting and falls flat )
  
• Overall very bad side story (stories? - debatable)
  
• Meh protagonist ( they don't define him and use it as an excuse )
  
• Non-existing economy ( unique creatures you can sell for 120 gold where HP pot that restores 1/3 of your HP costs 100 gold and you can't sell any herbs that you cultivate or potions WTF!? )

~50h in, main story done, one side story complete and a bunch of activities ( challenges at 70% )
... DON'T BUY IT if you care about the story and you have tendency to "get involved" don't but it.

The story is grim and fatalistic without any glimmer of hope. The one side story that COULD make everything better is a terrible joke and should be avoided. Technically what can you expect from Slytherin teaching you Unforgivable curse ... well not a poor excuse to use them!

- First one Crucio ok that was a good story.
- Second Imperio I haven't even noticed to be honest.
- Thrid one ... WTF?! WHY?! WHEN?! WHO!?

The worst part of the terrible story line ... there is a bunch of really fun activities to do in this game to "complete it" ... after experiencing main story and main side story ... I think I will uninstall it.

Even the Poppy story about a girl that loves animals ... it has been dumbed down to the level that it actually is sad ... by bad game economy that promotes poachers despite pretending you save the animals. You are being constantly bombarded how good person you are for catching those animals. Although you are exploiting the resources those animals provide to upgrade your gear or simply sell them for 120 gold each... what a farce ...

Honestly I could keep writing about how bad writing in this game is but if I haven't convinced you yet you are gonna get it somehow. Hopefully not like I did 6 months before the premier in a Pre-Order ... 🤦‍♂️

I want to know the names of writers so I can avoid this kind of BS in the future.

The game itself is great and brilliant and I had a lot of fun with it but end game achievements are a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ joke. I really wanted to complete this game but you can even do 10 playthroughs and not complete them. They are suppose to be designed to challenge a player and they are NOT DESIGNED AT ALL !

Note: I might be a bit biased because I do not play it with random players but rather with majority of players from my discord community.

Surprisingly good game. Entertaining and exciting.
I does have some issues. My main problem is item balancing that is suppose to promote dropping items ( exchanging items between survivors ) but it more often than an issue rather mechanic.

In short ... it's ok. I'm not gonna refund this one. ( I've refunded 7 games I bought in 2021... )
It feels like this one has some potential predatory micro-transactions scheduled but for now it's playable but it's definitely nothing groundbreaking and/or wonderful. Play with a bunch of friends and your gonna definitely have some fun.

I've been using VR for a couple of months now ( Quest 2 ) but if that would have been my first experience with the VR I definitely wouldn't have bought it... I wonder if the person that made the design decisions even played it ... seriously terrible experience ... limited view, limited movement not to mention how the game looks ... very poor quality.

"Cross-Platform Multiplayer" ... Even same platform multiplayer doesn't work at all. Tried from 3 PCs. I've only bought it for co-op. Since this doesn't work than I don't really care about the rest of this game.

I'm returning this game after 100 minutes of playtime.

Before you start throwing rocks at me let me quickly explain why.

The main money making element revolves around the world map where you are suppose to execute schemes while doing some minor management of "heat levels" that could lock a region for a certain amount of time if done incorrectly. ... Within those 100 minutes I've unlocked ~80% of the regions and spent most of the time trying to figure out where exactly scheme has ended so I could do that afford mentioned management ...

I've asked myself this question more than 20 times in 100 minutes... Until this is fixed I simply consider this game unplayable. It's way to distracting and irritating.

Forgot about that one but this is also quite annoying.
You send your minions to a world map via chopper... but there is only a single one. You will find yourself waiting for minions to go everywhere you want and there is no way to speed it up so you will have to rely on schemes that take longer to execute a lot and you will have to plan accordingly. You might think this a game mechanic but this just an artificial way of making things take much longer than they should. ...

They should add some microtransactions next that would allow you to skip the wait time for minions on helipad...
