Not without it's flaws like poor performance even on high end hardware but Dragon's Dogma is a genre on it's own.

There is simply no other games like this where you actually feel like an adventurer on well... an adventure. There is no hand holding, no ever-present quest markers and frankly not much is explained to you at all. This game above all encourage you to explore, be it's gameplay mechanics or the world. A game where bravado is punishable by death and you discover new ways to interact with the world and enemies within even after dozens of hours.

I wish there were more similar titles games on the market.

It is definitely flawed in many ways and it was still the most fun I had this year with any AAA title.

It definitely scratched a particular itch I've had for some time now - atmospheric sci-fi exploration of abandoned bases with a flashlight and a gun. People can hate (background) character models all they want but the lightning indoors is excellent (LUMA mod installed and OLED HDR monitor helps a lot I guess).

There is also a lot of complains about bugs but honestly in 105 hours I've played I only encountered a few and none of them were game breaking with the biggest one being my companion running into a wall in certain shops. It's never happened in any place that would annoy me.

I can't wait for modders to add exploration and salvaging of derelict ships on random locations in deep space. There is so much untapped potential yet.

i9-13900k & RTX3080Ti gets you barely 30fps with dips to 10fps and that's only in first 15minutes. Disabling shadows and post process entirely gave me performance jump to 110fps - much better but not great and now it looks plain terrible.

Ah you also can't pick screen resolution in settings freely - options are limited to set hardcoded by devs. Forget about 3440x1440 even though there are other ultrawide options available.

Cherry on top that made me refund the title is frequent crashes. Game managed to die 4 times in 15minutes.

Stay away if you value your time. It's a game you launch to play for 15 minutes and end up spending 2 hours grinding because your build happened to be pure carnage satisfaction and it'd be a waste to not go into next portal.

Even worse than GTA5. Gameplay is terrible and I can't even begin to understand why it has so positive rating (similarly to GTA5). I'll just stay away from all Rockstar games from now on.

Social Club (R* launcher) is probably the worst such application on the market. Slow memory hog that often disconnects on my machine. Oh and the game itself crashed 4 times during my ~1h of gameplay. Happily refunded.

Amazing game. Remedy never fails to amaze me. It was worth waiting for EGS exclusivity to expire.

I was kinda excited when I learned this exists but this is the worst kind of remake possible. Terrible everything: character and his voiceover, art direction, combat (!!!) and total lack of the original soul. Would play original over this any day.

It's basically GTA Middle Earth.. run around and kill orcs then run around some more and kill more orcs. It could actually be pretty decent if only fighting was any fun - it isn't.

I've heard a lot of good opinions about this game but this is just waste of time. There is no entertainment in it whatsoever.

I've played for a bit and it certainly is on the fun side. It's first and only F2P game I've put money into just to support the devs and I don't regret it even a little
