I like the attention to detail in staying true to original character designs and I like the dialogues. Character interactions and the general feel of the game is very Gothic-like (thing to be improved would be a bit more expressive character faces, but it's not a deal-breaker). But where the cutscenes end, the problems begin.

This demo has many bugs - I had to restart the game multiple times because I got stuck in a dialogue cutscene.
The other time I've put my torch inside a mine cart, which allowed be to duplicate it, creating over 100 torches in my inventory. After that I could not attack, move, or save the game.
After restarting the game I clipped into a climbable wall in the starting area - but luckily was able to jump out of it.
Finally, I died to a Scavenger with my inventory open, and controls were locked into the inventory screen - not menu screen - making it impossible for me to load a saved game (I played on an Xbox controller).

Jumping and running animations look weird. Your character runs like a drunkard at a 45-degree angle.

I think that some controls feel like they try to have fluid animation transitions too much (standing -> walk/run), while others feel snappy and responsive, but the character pose feels off (jumping).

I would like to leave a positive score because I like the idea of a Gothic 1 remake, but I think that the technical execution leaves much to be desired.

Honestly, was this originally supposed to be a tech demo with a scripted playthrough shown during a presentation, not to be released as a demo publicly? Because it feels like it. I spent more time on reloading the game due to technical difficulties, than actually playing it.

Graphics so nicely done that it feels like playing through a Pixar movie.
Great characters that you learn a great deal about (I mean, you literally enter their minds, you can't get to know someone deeper than that).

Lots of collectibles, varied platforming, interesting superpowers.
Big world, which is open for exploration, but is not "empty open" like some other games. You actually have stuff to do here.

If you played Psychonauts 1, you will ADORE this game.
This is the best sequel that game could have hoped for.

I recommend to finish the first game before playing this one.
But if you just want to jump into the Psychonauts 2, you shouldn't feel lost.

It's just cool to learn about the characters which you won't explore in the sequel that were explored in the first game. You have a bit different view on things, because you feel a deeper connection with characters you interact with.

Hylics 2 follows the plot from the first game: Wayne and his friends after defeating Gibby, king of the moon, have lived a peaceful existence.
That is, until crazed fanatics brought him back. Gibby wants to brainwash the regular populus, so to make them easier to control (and make them uncapable to form an uprising) he transforms most of regular "people" into animal-like creatures who are somewhat sentient, but do not think coherently.
Basically, he is a tyrant who must be stopped. Wayne must gather his party to defeat Gibby once again.

Did I just give you the plot's summary and didn't call it "lol xd random" nonsense?
Yeah, because this game, while extremely weird (and being tongue-in-cheek at times), has its internal logic.

I LOVE the artstyle. It's as if you went to a modern art museum. It is very rare to find such designs in videogames. They were not built to be sympathetic and appealing. Rather, they have been created to feel alien and otherwordly. As if you stepped into another dimension.

This alien world is humorous however, as the most basic, boring things to us are reffered to with utmost respect. TVs are a medium of passing on combat techniques, while drinking from a paper cup makes you more powerful.

This game has almost every game type thrown into it. You have a 2D platformer, first-person dungeon crawler, top-down platformer, JRPG, flying simulator and more.

It's very interesting, but at the same time there ARE problems with it.
Mostly it's about the game's design in later parts of the game. While I had no problems following the plot early on and during the middle, when you near the ending everything suddenly becomes incredibly cryptic and hard to navigate and follow.

Top-down platforming - while I appreciate that the author took his time and implemented a circle showing you where you currently are in 3D space, it is still frustrating and some jumps will take you 5-10 attempts and game reloads before you manage to get where you want to be.

Other than that, this game provides a rare type of experience you won't get anywhere else.
I enjoyed my time with Hylics 2, and you will probably too.
Venture into this bizzare universe, it is worth your time.

-- WARNING: I only recommend this game to Yu-Gi-Oh! fans who did not play the original Legacy of the Duelist! --

What can I say? I have a soft spot for the Yu-Gi-Oh! card game. It's a excruciatingly complex game, has cards with paragraphs of text which must be read like law, since every single word could change the meaning of it drastically.

PROS:
+ Link Evolution includes most of the recent cards in its card pool and it has the most recent ruleset - Master Rule 5 (which I am a fan of, as I really despised MR4).

+ There is no microtransactions.

CONS:
- You have to grind a lot. The card packs are opening slowly and you can get duplicates from them, even if you have 3 copies of a card.

- Summoning animations cannot be turned off. Only chosen monsters have these animations, but I pity you if you would like to play a Blue-Eyes deck.

Other than that, the game's pretty solid. Tons of decks are waiting to be built, but they need you to dedicate your time.
Or you could just copy someone's 100% save and have everything from the start, like I did.

Why don't I like DOOM Eternal? I liked the previous game, right?
Well, this one has problems. I didn't play very long, because I can already see I can't enjoy it.

What I'm looking for in DOOM is just to mutilate hordes of demons in the most disgusting ways.
Going in and absolutely stomping and dominating every monster I see.

I saw some not-so-satisfied reviewers, so I chose to play on "easy" mode - ammo and health shouldn't be a problem there, and I should feel like a beast, right?

Nope. Even on easy mode you constantly have to refill your ammo. The problem is NOT lack of ammo, but the low ammo capacity. You shoot like, what, 5 times? And you are out of ammo already.

DOOM 2016 also felt more open. Eternal in comparison was developed with platforming in mind, so there are invisible walls in lots of places, just so that you cannot cheese any platforming sections.
Everything is streamlined to the point that you CAN'T do what developer did not intend.

Demons when killed drop colorful loot, which just kills any joy from murdering them. It could be one color and be less of it (or something) to make the murder feel more gory. Now it's like you're hitting a pinata.

Your punches don't do any damage. You have to punch the lowest-tier monsters a lot of times to kill them. Let me ask this: WHY?

The game became artifically "difficult". Developers made a gameplay loop that you are forced to do, otherwise you cannot progress. Chainsaw to get ammo, shoot 2 times, now chainsaw again.
After that, there's a platforming section with a single way to get through it.
You can't get satisfaction from punching demons, because your punches have as much force behind them as wet farts.

Overbalanced, unsatisfying mess. What a shame.

Gothic II: Gold Edition to połączenie oryginalnego Gothic II i dodatku 'Noc Kruka'.

Pierwsze 1,5 godziny gry w Gothic 2 to czysta ekspozycja.

Jakim cudem? A taka o, mechanika gry.

Ja sobie dam raczej z 'Gothic II: Gold Edition' spokój.

Retro Game Crunch consists of 7 short videogames with pixel graphics.
---------
1. Super Clew Land - you are a blob which needs to consume orange foods in order to evolve. Over time you develop legs, a horn, fish tail and wings. Your objective is to gather emeralds scattered across an open world map. If you gather them all and turn them in, you get to fight the final boss and rescue your friend.

This one is extremely HARD. Like, actually old NES games hard. I don't recommend it if you don't like retrying a particular section 30+ times. Because you will.

It does start cute and easy, but goes really overboard with the difficulty later on. Final boss has RNG mechanics which may or may not drive you insane.
---------
2. End of Line - you are a blue robot. Your objective: kill yourself. Yes, that's right - the goal is to get rid of all bots that let you respawn and end your life.

Really neat concept. This game is also quite lenghty and not overly hard. I really recommend playing this one if you are a fan of puzzle games.
---------
3. Gaia Attack! - You are a small creature, which is on its journey to beat everyone up. You climb to the top, and on the end of each level there's a boss to beat.

Gaia Attack also supports 2 player local co-op, but this game's not very easy. You won't be able to complete this game with anybody, except with another full-blown platformer/beat'em-up nerd.

If the difficulty was toned down, this could be a fun game. But as it stands, it's a game I'd play for 5 minutes at most, then switch to something different. Not for me.
---------
4. Paradox Lost - One word: Confusing. This one is a Metroidvania, but not only it has an open world, it also has 3 separate timelines in this world - past, future and present, that you can switch between.
I lost track where I am at some point and how to go back.

This is a kind of game you invest a lot of time in. But I am not that interested to analyze every part before moving forward. It has depth, I'll give it that.
---------
5. Wub Wub Rescue - You play as a little pug trying to rescue his master from a bunch of savages in a jungle. You meet snakes, bats and monkeys on your way and learn to sing special melodies to manipulate them.

This is a puzzle platformer that I really enjoyed. It is not overly hard, but has some more difficult levels.
---------
6. Brains and Hearts - Too many instructions at the start. I did not play this one. Did not seem like something I'd be interested in.
---------
7. Shuten - Shoot'em up, but with swords. This one is cool, but ridiculously difficult at the same time. Only for people loving the "NES games must be hard" formula.
---------
I got this game from a sale - I recommend to get it then.
You will surely find something for yourself in this pack.

I will judge Sonic Lost World as a game on its own (not like a part of the long-running series), because I have only played Sonic Heroes and first 2D Sonic way back in the past.

I was interested in this one, because I'm a big Super Mario Galaxy fan.

But the level design and overall the game design is atrocious.

1. Creators of this game could not decide what Sonic's gameplay should even be. So every level is very different from each other and there are even sections within a level that change the gameplay completely.

You like 3D Sonic? Well, sucks to be you, because the game likes to switch to 2D Sonic controls every couple of seconds.
Do you like moving fast? Nope, here's a sluggish platforming part of the stage, where every small incorrect button press could mean retrying the whole section.
Do you like playing as Sonic? Nope, here come "Colors", which are basically gimmick sections with very different controls from the rest of the game.

2. Combat is terrible.
You ALWAYS have to carry at least one ring.
Why? Because your opponents have invincibility frames within their standard animation set, BUT THEY ARE NOT TELEGRAPHED AT ALL. This means that your opponent may be in his "vulnerable" animation and you press the button to attack, but just as you managed to get close, he started playing his "idle" animation, which makes him invincible, and you take FORCED damage.

The worst thing about it is, that you can't even get away sometimes - you just get stuck in their model and get hit until you die. Also Sonic being slow as molasses while not running does not help in this case.

Enemies do not glow nor grow spikes while invulnerable - you just have to guess.
Many times I was confused what I should do while fighting a boss - because I couldn't attack him when he looked like he should be vulnerable AND I was getting prompts from the game that I can target him at all times.

The game just feels extremely sloppily made with no sense of direction.
So far I have played 2 levels I actually liked - one in a bee, tree-like galaxy in which you are running all the time; and rails section, where you also go fast while making quick decisions.

That's what the entire game should be, in my opinion.
Not this jumbled up mess of everything thrown together, like it tries to be every Sonic spin-off game's ever successor or something.

Just... Meh.

Suzy Cube feels like:
1. A baby's first platformer;
2. Super Mario 3D World rip-off.

The controls are very basic, though they are fine gameplay-wise and work properly.
It's not bad, like Yooka-Laylee for example. Actually, it's pretty good!

Why do I compare this game to Super Mario 3D World?
Suzy Cube basically "borrowed" from it the level design, camera perspective, collectible placement, 3D-camera mini-games as well as some other stuff, like doing a 2D gameplay on a 3D level.

But, Super Mario 3D World is a fantastic game.
So of course, Suzy Cube is great too.

Get it if:
1. You want a cheap 3D platformer;
2. You are new to this genre;
3. You want to introduce someone (maybe your girlfriend or your kid?) to 3D platformers.

I recommend it, even though it feels a bit simplified and watered-down.
