There is too little weeb stuff from the beginning in this game to be called "weeb store simulator"

4/4 weebs are disappointed

In the demo you can only sell games and one console, nothing weeb-y

Palworld just feels right. The game is pretty and also fun to play with friends and family.

I am judging the developers for the strange lizard pal, though.

And for the fact that the summer chillet skin only works for the blue chillet and not for fire chillet

As a huge fan of the farming game genre, Fields of Mistria takes the most liked mechanics which farming games are known for and improves them in its own style.

The way the game handles progression so far is really nice, for example you earn points for doing all kinds of tasks like farming, cutting trees etc. and you can use these points at the dragon statue to unlock special skills (lower production time, chance to get crafting resources back etc.)

The relationships between the villagers are well made, you often see friends hanging out together and there are often group conversations which is lovely

some collectable ressources are somewhat subtle. I had a hard time finding the water chestnuts, even though I also played Kynseed which has similar resource picking mechanics

Currently the progress in game is locked after reaching the third dragon shrine and the relationships can only reach 4 hearts so far. But I am really looking forward to the finished game!

This game is not finished, so currently the v1.0 release is a blatant lie.

I played this game in offline mode, so my playtime is higher than actually shown

I wanted to love coral island, but it tries really hard to be a 'fancier' stardew valley(SV).
It offers so many quality of life features that want to persuade the player that SV is worse (e.g. the visual area of effect of scarecrows)

there are many aspects that are at least inspired by SV like:
  • planting the first crops and crows eating some of your crops, which triggers the 'build a scarecrow' quest
  • the same three types of trees + tree taps
  • kegs and casks
  • geodes and opening them at the smithy
  • elevators in the mine + special floors with an reward chest in the mines
  • the winter festival that reeks of the SV night market
  • one part of the main quest is supposed to be unlocking a desert which you reach by bus (i haven't seen this one yet but sounds familiar, doesn't it?)
  • The similarities between pufferfish and joja-mart are definitely there
  • an animal living in a hut in the forest selling hats - its even named concerned monkey...

Parts that are NOT finished yet:
  • multiplayer
  • merfolk story
  • THE MAIN STORY!! ("v1.0")
  • some festivals do not have full dialogue yet
  • marriage and kids
and i personally hate the whole museum quest-line. They keep talking how to run a "pickstarter" campaign and the whole thing stinks of self praise while their game is not even finished yet. But at least that part is already added.

parts that are not finished should be marked more clearly. I almost finished all bundles but heard that some rewards are still missing like unlocking the desert.

The museum reminds me of animal crossing, not bad but that's it. Still hate the quest-line, though.

things that bug me but are in no way a reason to decide against the game:
  • Taco the dog that is attached to Luke won't move in with him if you marry Luke - that is the only good reason to marry him
  • the Raina, Axel and Senja should be romance-able.
  • friendship events are often about the problems of the characters not about your friendship with them. It's more about getting to know them by a specific quest line than understanding them as a character/person

once it is really fully released i will play it again and update this review but currently this game is a disappointment. The kickstarter was so successful, it should be so much better.

Project Zomboid is a great game, the slow pace of the game is kind of relaxing but at the same time there is always some building to loot, some zombies to kill or places to explore. The different skills are also very interesting and its one of my favorite Multiplayer games

I really wanted to like FoN2, but in the end it is a frustrating piece of work.

You know a game is really grindy when even the positive reviews complain about the grind.
The only thing that kept me playing was the hope, that it will get better and all that grind pays off in the end
but that never happend for me.

crafting is just tedious (think of any comfort mechanic you know from crafting games - these do not exist here. You have to actively stand next to the station for up to minutes for crafting to work, then change to the next crafting step and so on)

enemies often feel the same so the only real difference is that there are ranged and melee enemies, but other than that most enemies feel the same (the bomb pirates are an exception, though) and only differ in drops.

puzzles are frustrating and while I normally love puzzles, the puzzles in this game are often cryptic (canyon-puzzle) or plain trial and error (swamp-puzzle)

magic and skills are often underwhelming, the sprint skill is the most useless sprint I have ever seen and I only used it from time to time to check if it is still as useless as i remembered it.

BUT FoN2 is a really pretty game even though the UI reminds me of an online game sometimes. So if you want to give this game a chance, feel free to do so, but I would not recommend it

Terraria is a game that has been around for ages and it deserves all the love it gets.

I nearly only play it with friends but the solo gameplay is also very enjoyable :)

A slow-paced and pretty cute game. the time/action restriction is kind of annoying sometimes, but if you like this kind of gameplay, littlewood might be it for you

Don't Starve is awesome and Don't Starve Together is even better!

Fighting and surviving with friends feels so much more rewarding, since you do not simply have to survive monsters, hunger and winter but also your friends

I still miss the forge, though
