I finished the main quest. I had fun playing a role playing video game. Maybe I am shallow but the universe felt large and wondrous enough for 70 hours of game play. I really enjoyed the ship builder but wished it had more tweaking. Looking forward to the modding scene that will inevitable grow around this game.

Awesome niche as heck simulator game. The tutorial is "immersive" use the tab menu and ask the AO for help on topics. It will move to each station and tell you what to do including highlighting the button to press sometimes. Took me about 9 hours to get this down, running stable for 3 days which was a very rewarding experience - in that nothing happened, no melt downs, no alarms, just a stable controlled nuclear reaction.

Standard only developer, indie game heads up, some parts are rough but peek at the change log and forum, the developer is very responsive to feedback.

I was here for KSP1 early access / beta for 4 years. I will be here for KSP2 early access for however long it takes. It's fun in it's current state but not enough to really plan a full campaign or career.

The original inspiration for so many other games. I have countless hours of this played since 2010 outside of steam. It's a fantastically challenging game where losing is fun. World generation seems to be so much more stable now because most of my ~25 hours played on steam is generating worlds with thousands of years of history! My only major complaint is knowing key binds and I cannot use all of the ones I have muscle memory with and am forced to use a mouse instead.

The only limiting factor to this game right now is the small number of hulls given only one faction has been established so far. Beside that, this game is like a very intense version of rock paper scissor mixed with hide and seek. If you enjoyed the home world series, or even EVE to an extent this game will be for you.

Do the tutorial and hop in public skirmishes, people are friendly and its the real way to learn the game and strategies.

its alright

It's a fun rocket building game that is really immersive. If you've played KSP or simple rockets, it's going to come second nature. It's definitely it's own game, with alot of charm. I hope there will be some performance and balance changes over time - some of the challenges are pretty, well, challenging.

The only thing that can improve this game is if my dad was in it. He would be standing at the edge of the lawn with his arms crossed.
Also throttle control and ultra wide support would make things better. It’s a very chill and satisfying game.

If you're thinking about buying this game in 2021 - don't; unless you are a masochist. The core survival game loop is very enjoyable and challenging. In the 70 hours I have played, on mostly RP servers, I had 0 interactions with other players. I was killed on sight every time. Sure I am a little salty, but part of the appeal of this game is supposed to be the emergent gameplay from interacting with others.

tldr - great game, not great community

A fun little management and planning game. Most play happens within the main grid essentially modelling your time and work capacity. You must also time things appropriately and make adjustments for the variety of wine you're growing. It's turn based, and very relaxed play style. It feels very much inspired by Terroir and other board games.
