Nice update to a masterpiece game. A brand new campaign would have been really cool, but the graphical updates give it a 'brand new' feeling. Though the models aren't high-resolution, I think preserving the old helps keep a nostalgic feel to the game.

Some minor issues I have are perhaps that units can sometimes be hard to see under dull lighting, and that the title screen's map camera doesn't seem centred. I haven't played much multiplayer, but one game I had with a close-by friend was smooth. Each time I look at the multiplayer there are a few games, but not an awful lot. Hopefully that will change from the Steam sale :p

Overall, I'd say it's worth getting if you want a modern version that looks nicer, doesn't require a CD, and will get future updates.
