it's insane that not only have i been a steam member for 20 years, but I also have a 4 year old son. he loves hot wheels monster trucks. this game has hot wheels monster trucks. you drive around and smash things and fight giant robot "bosses". he is exactly the target audience for this game. he adores it. it's fun to just drive around and hit things. 10/10 no notes

a perfect fusion of shmup and roguelike. my only regret is not discovering this game sooner.

A nice, accessible update to this venerable classic. If you haven't seen the genesis of this franchise, now is your chance. You can make use of the new features like dungeon maps and auto-battle if you want a quicker experience, or don't if you'd like something closer to the NES version.

Note that this game is not exactly like the original release. Spell and item costs have been lowered making the early game a bit easier.

This expansion was released in a completely unplayable state. Unfinished art, blank event windows, broken mechanics, just to name a few. The game won't even start on my machine. It's absolutely absurd that the DLC was released in this state.
