I can't believe that 16 months after release and this game is still poorly optimized and unstable. It crashes randomly and without any apparent reason. I could be building something or doing nothing at all, just observing my city and it kicks me to the desktop. No crash report or anything. The traffic AI is horrendous. Cars will stop in the middle of the highway, backing up traffic just so they can turn 90 degrees to change lanes. People make U turns all the time. They take up multiple lanes and block the road. Cars prioritize speed over distance when traveling (apparently). It leads to situations when a car will drive 5x as far simply because part of that route is a highway. No wonder traffic is so bad. People are driving 5 miles out of their way instead of driving 1 mile. This game is NOT worth your time.

Haven't played the game in two months. Come back and Unreal Engine 5 still crashes constantly. Would be nice if I could play the game in peace. Fix it.

This a fantastic game. Lots of charm and I recommend it. The one thing I would change, without spoiling anything, there is a certain tower with guards you must get through. I found this part to be too long. Too many rooms with the same or similar puzzles and the puzzles themselves were quite easy. In the future I'd like to see puzzles that require more thought and not so many in a row.

I didn't realize this early access game has microtransactions in it already. I don't support this and don't want this game anymore. Refunded.

Hackers, campers, snipers galore.
So many useless medics like never before.
Random lags and glitches to which there is no end.
Must be that anti cheat, uninstalled, never again.

I can change this later if things get better but the cloud saves are borked right now. I lost all my progress twice. First time I played I saved the game, came back the next day and my progress was erased. I reluctantly redid the few jobs I completed. Saved a few times in a row to make sure. Came back today and all my progress is gone again. You have to turn off cloud saves and apparently Norton Antivirus was maybe messing things up? It kept telling me it blocked the exe file for HF2. Made an exception for that file. I am so disappointed that a game breaking bug like this made it into the game. This is unacceptable.

Boring and overrated. There is a wide universe to explore, filled mostly with empty planets. I understand. They have to do that to sell you on the idea that this is a whole universe, but that doesn't make the game more fun. You can land on any planet and explore the copy/pasted locations. You will see the exact same locations from one end of the universe to the other and everywhere in between. A hodgepodge of messy, slapped together mechanics. Bloated skill trees, "exploring", crafting, base building, an RPG, an FPS, a space opera. Starfield doesn't know what it wants to be. As wide as the ocean and as deep as a puddle. You can explore everywhere but why would you want to?

It's a good game. Nice art style, well done but limited voice acting. It took be about an hour to beat each mission, with each story having between two and four missions. I think an hour is way too long, especially since you're mostly just waiting for resources to come in or events to happen. I would say double all resource gains or halve timers. That would be a much more streamlined experience.

I'd like to recommend the game but it's a mess of mechanics and there is a plethora of micromanaging. You are constantly dealing with enemy cartels attacking you, the feds seizing or blowing up your property and your own cartel members going rogue when they don't get paid or missions they want done don't get done. The game has a solid base but it's a pain in the butt to play.

This game stopped being worked on months ago. If you are reading this any time after October 2023 and it is still listed as an Early Access game DO NOT BUY. It will never be finished. The developer has abandoned the game.
