Man, STEAM really needs some more options when leaving a review.
This negative review is a bit more related to the game's stability than its other areas.
The game is fun. Different than FEAR 1:
- more action
- more firefights
- horror part is cranked up
- lots of messed up ♥♥♥♥ that add to the mood of the game
- Mechs!
Now, the things that rustled my jimmies and really annoyed the hell out of me were the following:
- game starts to bug out after chapter 4 or 5.
- levels and areas load with no textures. You'll see nothing but an empty void filled with map items. Only way to fix this is restarting the client.
* another fix that might work (not sure if it did for me since i used it just before the ending) is to start the game with the -dx property.
- game crashes randomly. I tried various fixes suggested by other people, nothing worked. Some fixes increased the crashing frequency, some did nothing.
- up until the final chapter, i felt no challenge from the enemies. On hard they have amazing aim and can head shot you even with grenades, but they don't feel the need to charge or flank you that often. The final level changes this and makes them more aggressive and really gives you a challenge. Too bad it happens so late in the game

As you can see, the game is fun and deserves a play-through. If you're good with shooters, start on hard (you can reduce difficulty when you die). But because of the randomly missing textures and crashing, I couldn't really enjoy the game. Instead of focusing on the atmosphere and game play, I was too scared not to crash or see the next part of the level without textures.
Really broke the immersion.

It is a story driven adventure game with good, fleshed out characters and even some mild puzzles.

You explore two worlds and interract with various characters, each with its own personality and issues.

A lot to read and remember, but the story is good after you start to tie everything up.

Life is short. Shorter for some. I hope we all have a good run. Dont forget to check up on your loved ones every now and then.

If you want a game with a heartbreaking and emotional story, interesting characters and some life lessons, then go for it.

If you dislike remembering details, little to no action for most of the game and a lot of walking and backtracking, then this game might annoy you.

A bit more FPS than the previous instalments, but Chris is PUMPED and he has enough muscle mass to throw bulets at enemies with more power than the weapons.

A good game even though you have an AI as companion. Sheeva does not mess around and, in my playthrough, she roundhoused zombies more than she shot at them.

Good ballance between ammo availabilty, zombie spawns and boss toughness. Melee hits and takedowns feel good and rewarding.

I had fun, it was engaging and a bit tactical due to shared ammo type and available weapons.

And seeing Chris fisting RPGs, boulders and Wesker was more entertaining than Excella's cleavage.

This game is a weird one. It feels like they wanted to profit from the Borderlands formula, but without adding the variables that made BL fun and successful.
It also wants to be Mad Max with all the car fights, but it feels more like a bootleg Carmagedon.
It wants to be way too many things at the same time, but without fleshing them out.

The things that i liked:
- drivingg your car and customizing it
- weapon variety

The things that I didnt like:
- it has the Borderlands feel, but without its fun factors
- car fights are very limitted
- not open world
- weapons feel meh
- bullet sponge enemies
- the story is crap and pretty much non sensical
- game gives the impression that it will get better, but it wont

It is not a bad or unplayable game, just extremely boring and dull.

Play Borderlands 1 if you want to get the superior version of Rage. Or borderlands 2 if you want the better borderlands 1.

A nice short top down action shooter about robots and with robots.

The story can be meh or good, depending on what games you previously played. This is because of its theme and somewhat plot twists.

The pacing is good. You get breathers and you get intense action. Good ballance.

The characters are fun and unique in their skills and kit. I loved the soldier.

Graphic is nice, bgm and music are meh.

Some bad things, stuff that I didnt like:
- game is too easy even on hard
- no real setback when you die. No incentive to play it safe or use a strategy.
- some bosses are bullet sponges

Dont know how co-op is, but single player is fun. Give it a try if you want to feel like a bootleg Transformer.

The first overlord was a lighthearted fantasy game with elements of satire, comedy and tongue in cheek jokes.

Now imagine they took that game and cranked everything up to eleven.

And instead of an improvement, we got too much of everything: satire moves towards absurd, tongue in cheek changed to vulgar and comedy is now a cringe fest.

If it werent for the minions, you could pass this as any other generic adventure game from its era.

The focus changes towards minions way too much. That wouldnt be a problem if controling them wasnt such an annoying chore.

Instead of the warm, fantasy colours from the first, you now get colours that feel way too sharp.
Instead of the fluent animations from the first, now you get janky and weird movements. Instead of having a good balance between overlord and minions, now you get power spikes from either.

It is not a bad game, per se, but it is almost nothing like the initial overlord.

If you dont care that much about it, it is still a fun game. If you want to relive the overlord adventure, then you will be disapointed

Man, this game was fun. A little bit of action, a little bit of commedy, a little bit of adventure and you get this. Sprinkle some puzzles in and you got yourself a cute game.

The gist of this game is to spam minnions on everything that moves or that doesnt. Your overlord is somewhat fraglile so the bulk of your fighting is done by minions.

You can also control them as a whole to solve some puzzles or to give them more precise commands. Controling them can be annoying with a mouse and keyboard, but not impossible. Just takes a bit of practice.

The story is nice and lighthearted with a lot of fantasy elements to it.

Give it a chance when you have the time.

Man, every now and then I play the fk out of Dawn of War and Chaos Rising.

Chaos Rising continues the story fr9m DoW2 and improves on some aspects:
- bigger item variety, considering the alignments
- new chaos alignments that spice the game up
- more viable builds(you can build your whole team around gun play without having your Commander suck big time)
- some missions sort of "force you" to bring a certain character or skip one (only if you want to embrace the glory of the Emperor)
- pretty much the same plusses from DoW2

it also does some things meh:
- missions can be pretty lengthy if you want to farm xp
- on higher difficulties, bosses are damage sponges and the fights can get boring
- you cant max everyone out :(

If you like DoW2 then this is a no brainer.

A short (around 2h) walking simulator with very mild puzzle elements.

The story is decent, predictable, without anything too interesting.

I liked the mood, the music and the simple story. It fulfilled my expectations and also reminded me some things about life.

If you want something easy to kill an hour or two and if you can get it with a good discount, then go for it.

I am aware that I selected "I do not recommend" even though the game seems to be held in high regard, but besides the cultural part and the artwork, the game is just an annoying platformer mixed with various annoying puzzles.

It starts nice, with a story from a different and beautiful culture about a girl and her fox. You jump, you run, you change characters (in single player) and you dodge gusts of wind. After this short intro, you need to get a hang of switching characters ASAP if you want to finish it.

I didn't have fun. I mostly was annoyed by the trial and error puzzles, controls and movement of characters and camera.

The Fox's tales expansion/DLC is more of the same thing, but with even more annoying mechanics since it involves swimming now.

All in all, if you want to discover some tid bits about another culture and learn about their ways and philosophy of life, then play this game.

If platformers are not your thing, if trial and error puzzles annoy you or if you;re in search of a quality platformer, then skip it.
