tl;dr game slaps
Even though it's only a "demo/beta" phase of it, the idea as well as the concept for it is insane, and quite frankly - it's one of the most enjoyable video games I have played in such a long time.
If you missed the late 90's to mid 2000s times of tuner culture, this game is just the thing you're looking for.

The music selected by the dev for this project is INSANE. It's modern-day dnb full of amen breaks, 90s techno, and many more!
The gameplay environment mixed with it is the cherry on top.

I don't wanna sound like a sucker for old games, but dang it - a lot of big devs could take notice from the guys making this fine piece of work (unless they're big corporats, iunno what's gone wrong ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)

Let's just hope that the dev doesn't fumble the bag - and we're getting a fine release in the racing game genre AFTER SO LONG.

[consider this a review through and through, the year 1 dlc content, as well as the free content and other stuff]
If you want a tl;dr
the game is worth it if you find it at a good price(like a steam sale, that's going on as I am writing this review, or any cdkey
site)
just go for the gold edition of the game, base game won't give you as much content(i.e weapons)

wow, it really been a hard year
but sbz managed to survive and maintain this game through the skin of their teeth
the delay between dlc 1 and 2 and later, caused by OMB made a whole lot of people desperate for some new content for the game
and well they delivered alright

they quick-fixed the armor system[adaptive armor] BUT there is an actual fix on the way before the end of this year,
so that's a good sign if there's any.
the challenge-based progression system was scrapped[or might be still in the works] and the progression was replaced like
it was known for this whole franchise - by solely beating heists

and they managed to compensate the people who had bought either the gold edition/silver
or just the syntax error dlc by giving out new cosmetics
sure, implementing the compensation items took a whole month for them,
but they managed nonetheless.

they brought back 2(technically speaking, 3) characters that'd been known from the predecessor(and were fan-favorites)
did a sequel for one of the most hyped-up heists from the predecessor(which was, well, not executed as good as hox breakout, but they did a good job nonetheless)
they're working on an offline-only mode(solo mode is still online, beware of ragebait from IGN)
and believe me or not, gustavo delivers bangers as good as simon did, some being more chaotic, some being biggest bangers you could've heard.

The free weapons, masks, and all that stuff are still good, some being more fun to use than some dlc weapons that've been added
through the course of the 4 months that we've gotten 3 dlcs;
there is a lot of stuff coming for this game, and after the game director was replaced by 2 people that've worked on this franchise for so long
you could, hypothetically speaking, the game might come back, and has a chance to be better than it's predecessor,

there's still some kinks to iron out, i.e voicelines that the characters aren't using(more specifically - there's a voiceline
that should trigger once your character gets caught in a private area, gets cuffed and such)
some updates bringing more bugs into the game(like the door in ashton fine jewelry store in Diamond District, or the visual bug known as the "Oil Room" in Boys in Blue)
there's still lots of it.
BUT the team that's working on this game still can make the game as good(and maybe even better) than PAYDAY 2.

Yup, my hot take was a clown emoji for last 2 years - anyway;

tl;dr i just dont like this game bro

I'm not a particular fan of racing sims, never was - never will.
I am just a casual player in these conditions, but you can have fun with this game - the problem being - with a huge cost of buying your own racing wheel - and for more immersion - making your own cockpit for the "sim" feeling.
But it's just not my thing - it could be someone else's, so take this review with a pinch of salt, it's just my opinion and you don't gotta listen to it my guy.

The modding scene for this game is HUGE, and you can get loads of content which is quite fun, so that's a huge positive for this game.

You can log on many servers that are active - so there's that.

But honestly -
it isn't just my thing. For me personally this game just feels like a good way to ride a car in free road and think about nothing, and sink into the music I like, and it's just that, a cool way to shut down your brain for a couple moments.

So, as I said in the beginning of this review - take this review with a pinch of salt, It's just my opinion, you may not like it, you may hate it, but we can discuss about it.

I have a huge love-hate relationship with this game - hear me out.

tl;dr the game is sometimes good, but most of the time it's frustrating asf.

I got into this back in Operation Health days(circa 2017), and I didn't find it fun as I did with other games I got into at that time. So I decided to leave it for 3 consecutive years - to come back to it, Operators were dirt cheap, so grinding the renown for them wasn't such a problem as it did in old times.

Now, it's just a arcade shooter that has SOME elements of a sim shooter, but you can't call it a sim shooter, and shouldn't at any point whatsoever.

This game brought me both too much fun with anyone I played - either randos or 4 buddies, but it also brought a TON of frustration to me when playing ranked.
Playing ranked after the ranks rework is just straight up lobotomy - it's always a 50-50 if you're gonna play against people that are actually good - but stuck at silver - or you can play with people that may be plat but they're hot garbage, it's just not it.

If you're tired of Counter-Strike, and wanna try a different competitive shooter - go right ahead, just don't expect anything that'll be less frustrating.

It's a fun app to make your buddies mad via voice chat. And that's about it I suppose.
