They made this pack to avoid you seeing all the bad reviews of the old DLC that should have been part of the base game. Game Gear versions of games designed for the master system and a removed extra character to play. They also screwed over people who previously supported the game buy making them buy this after lowering the price of the game.

The base game is great but the another story isn't difficult, it's just bad. It shows up all of the troubles with the controls and camera. The difficulty is fighting against the game to make sonic do what you want him to do and having to restart because he did something entirely different, flew off in a different direction or a jump didn't send you far enough and you fall off and have to start a pillar from the start again.

It's a shame because I had SO much fun with the base game, the ending was rushed but the jounrey to then was a fun filled romp through several islands with character building story. I was satisfied and ready to take on another story, and it's fine at first with the new characters but it quickly falls flat on it's face with camera issues. It's such a shame. And they have done NO updates since the AS release to fix any of people's gripes with it. They gave up. They were so close to greatness and they just fell on their face again and gave up.

The worst part is that Another Story was meant to fix people's issues with the rushed ending. But I can't see it because I've tried several times with the first pillar and just ragequit because the game screws me over. I'm fine if I mess up, but I don't feel this is a me problem here. They want you boosting onto dash walls but if I do I fly off sideways. They want me to go back up but now there are jumps I can no longer do because the rings needed to light dash are no longer there. Nobody playtested this. This isn't fun, this isn't difficult, this is just a middle finger to players.

Sadly none of the comments from the demo were taken on board about how brutal some of the damage and repair systems are. you're micromanaging your truck, constantly repairing leaks because your truck is made of aluminum foil (which also completely destroys the paint job). You barely make any money because each job comes with time penalties because you're never given enough time to complete them to start, yet component and fuel costs to start are savage. So I'm already way in the red. This just isn't fun. This isn't relaxing. This isn't trucking. This is babysitting and sometimes getting to drive.

The view is awful, with the American style bonnet taking up half the screen where as in other games you have useful info like screens with speed etc. So you can barely see where you're going or incoming debris. The controls aren't great, you have to let go of the controls to respond to the NPC chatter, but of course you crash if you do, and get told off by the NPCs if you don't.

Hell, stuff is still locked like the repair shop so I can't even repair my truck yet. Nobody thought out the new player flow at all and they ignored ALL of the complaints from the demo. This game needs serious changes to be fun. I hope they seriously work on it.

Edit: Thanks to the developers for the response, I understand the restraints on the team size but it feels like this falls way short of the ambition. I really hope you put in the work and make this the fun game you claimed it was going to be. I just finally got my truck repaired because I finally unlocked the body shops! (Why were they locked???????) I thought I finally got in the black but now I've had to replace all my components so now I'm way in the red again.

There is no learning curve, this is a slog, we told you it's a slog in the demo, you fobbed us off saying it was just turned up for the demo so we could experience "the mechanics". I should have realised you were literal and the ship constantly breaking is "the mechanics". ETS2 and ATS have truck maintenance, they have hazards. But they also most of the time get out of the way and let you drive. You get paid more than enough to keep up with maintenance etc so you can upgrade your truck.

The comments also show so many problems, you get severely punished for AI-caused crashes, you're constantly honked at for being in a dock or cargo pickup that's too close to a AI travel path.
There's cargo pickup/dropoff next to locked gates and I get at least 2-4 radio barks from characters telling me I'm not allowed to go through the locked gate yet even though I'm not trying to.
The sitting camera position sways all around so it sometimes makes it hard to tell quite what direction you're pointing if you're trying to path through debris fields (again the bonnet doesn't help here).
The road signs have speed limits on them that don't say kmh or mph so no idea what they actually are.
If you're early for a dropoff you have to sit there burning power cells and other consumables while you wait rather than just be able to drop off early.
I've had cargo spawn in some random places like way below the map next to asteroids before.
People talking about a lack of rebindings, which could solve lots of issues, like having to look away from where you're driving to use controls, or to answer the radio.
Batteries... all disposable, non-rechargable at a station or anywhere. Constantly chewing through them. The steep increase in cost doesn't match capacity.

I dunno, I love travelling in space, I loved exploring in an Orca in Elite Dangerous with that lovely wide cabin view as I took in the galaxy. I love driving, I love travelling in ETS2 and seeing all the locations around Europe and America in ATS. It's relaxing for me.

This is sadly none of those, this is deep south american space truck survival simulator.

Even at this price there's almost nothing to this game, no depth or complexity. It's a bunch of the same assets used in other better games like orb of creation etc in a small proof of concept. There's 3 patches, no extra mechanics than making potions to sell and some automatic pachinko, all with some speed upgrades, that's it, that's the entire game.

There desperately needs more fleshed out to this. A great start but needs to be built upon.

I would have originally recommended this game on sale if you just enjoy the nostalgia trip and humour that this game will provide. But the developer retroactively added a forced launcher to be able to play the game with advertising for their new game and online tracking of your launches. There was literally no reason to add this other than to advertise their new game in your face and just adds annoyance to trying to play the game especially if the launcher doesn't work properly like many have reported, as such I'd recommend giving this a miss, buy the original games on sale instead, there's nothing different here other than packaging the 2 together.

Sadly this is a short linear experience that's only related tot he original in visual style. I really wish the procedurally generated levels and exploration was still there. This feels like it should have been DLC for the original game to add a linear story.

From enemies that spawn directly behind you in combat, to severe mission-breaking bugs that haven't been fixed even with all the DLC that's been released, this game is an absolute mess. I started playing it again to have a way to blow off some steam but instead it just kept making me angry again. And I tend to be a chill gamer that will laugh if I die from my own hubris or silliness but this game has so many rubberbanding systems that it never gives you a fair chance and so I never had any moments like that.

So there's not only a rushed game, but a badly designed one too because the spawning issues aren't bugs, they're by design. The DLC just makes this worse with harder missions using these broken or bad systems that just infuriate more. By the end I was just going "Yeah or course whatever" for every death, I'd given up and was fed up and just wanted to finish.

Lastly there's the always online nonsense that causes horrendous physics glitches from all the stuttering, and if you block the game from going online (the servers also fail to work many times) then most times you try to open the map/rebel drop/info screen you're stuck waiting for a minute for it to try "logging in" again, even if you selected offline mode before. This can even happen in combat.

I would write more but I'm getting shot by an enemy that appeared right behind me.

EDIT2: This was rushed to release so the team could abandon it and work on Homeworld 3, the story is decent but disappointing and so much more could have been done with it. There's a clear lack of polish, there are still physics bugs and instant death issues with atlas ships. Promised features are abandoned and this is it, a short game which had potential but because of feature creep and a distracted team, not much is made of it. Just sad. Another Blackbird Interactive release it seems, I always have trouble with the homeworld games due to technical issues and unfriendly game design decisions. Absolutely done with this company.

EDIT: The overhaul is interesting, but again, this is just features, long-standing bugs still stand, minor releases are weeks apart only tweaking gameplay and NOT fixing bugs. This game is a mess right now, after putting the very last bits of a Javelin into a furnace and turning to watch it,t he furnace bug crashed the game chucking 2 hours of my time down the drain. I'm done. I'll revisit this game in a few years but this game is a lost cause right now sadly.

At this point I really can't recommend this game, there's too many game breaking bugs and the developers just aren't interested in squashing them, there's almost no development on this lately and only small patches which just seems to ignore the bigger issues. Feature creep is already setting in too. When development stabilises and the game becomes playable without whole chunks of the game being broken then maybe I could recommend this, but not right now.

It's a shame because the idea is great and it's relaxing to just tear apart ships and fling the pieces about but you can lose all your progress etc due to stupid bugs, and lack of proper saves just means playing this is throwing your time away right now sadly.

Also there's not going to be co-op or VR since at this early stage if they're not coding the game with these features in mind, then it gets harder and harder to support it later without issues or just the devs saying it's too difficult (for example Subnautica)

I've played this on Dreamcast, Xbox 360 and now PC. It's still one of my favourite ways to unwind or just enjoy some simple shooting to great music. All the extras are here, including unlockable morolian. Rez Infinite is a lovely tech demo but sadly doesn't offer much depth, but the visuals are gorgeous enough for me to play it again after every direct attack etc.

All of the problems of the original Pixel Puzzles (some really bad patterns for connecting peices, no connecting peices outside puzzle, etc) series, except hints are now only buyable with a freemium currency which are now offered out rarely during puzzles. You can buy some puzzles but they cost 100s of gold peices when each puzzle will net you 1-5 gold peices (based on complexity).

It's nice to have all puzzles in one place if you've purchased previous packs, but the UI is horrible and the system is several steps backwards. If you enjoy puzzles, there's far better out there.
