Don't usually review stuff, but factorio is being review bombed, despite being one of the best games on steam.
Unironically great, and dev team cares beyond any other game I've seen.
Frequent updates, well maintained modding API (using lua), amazingly well optimised and runs on even the crappiest of pcs.

If you think talking about code cleanliness and test coverage is racist, or think using guilt by association is a valid tactic; as kovarex said himself:
"Take the cancel culture mentality and shove it up your ass."

Nearly 3 hours in.
I still haven't played a single second of the game.

Update:
tl;dr: Enjoying the game, but when I first started playing I had major technical issues.

It seems as of the day after I posted this the servers have improved massively, I just didn't get around to updating the review.

Although I can't speak for everyone, my personal experience for the first 4 hours or so of dealing with trove was very poor. The signup for 'glyph' would repeatedly refuse my passwords, and would take quite a long time to send the emails. After near-on an hour messing around with the signing up I managed to get in game, only to be greeted with huge wait times to even connect.

This only proceeded to annoy me further as you can't change settings (fullscreen, sound options, resolution, ect) until you have SUCCESSFULLY JOINED the game.

I personally was annoyed by this to no ends because despite the horrendous state of the servers (when I originally posted), yet they had a working micro-transaction store.

After getting in-game I was repeated encountering my computer completely crashing (which happened on no other games), but this seems to have stopped now. (This was likely a problem on my side, but as I said, it happened only on Trove).

BUT.

After all this, I managed to finally be able to play the game, and I am actually really enjoying it. I still don't like the fact it has the availability of micro-transactions but I have yet to feel like they actually influence the game, since the game contains no PvP (that I can see), and I am really not feeling any pay-walls or 'pay2win' at all.

I usually don't defend the mindless comments like 'itz nut pay2wen itz pay 3 shurtcut' but I can safely say that it does feel like one of those rare occasions when the only people paying will be those who have too much money to play the game properly.

There are a lot of bugs still in-game, and the servers still like to die a lot randomly though, but they seem to be being resolved over time.

Also loot in dungeons drops per person, so there will be no loot stealing or similar, and that I really like.

Overall the gameplay itsself is really solid, but only if you can see through the major flaws it has covering it.
