Where do i begin? The Evil Within is an absolute marvel in the survival horror genre. The game consistently provides a rich and bone chilling atmosphere throughout the 15 chapters, without overwhelming you with cheap jumpscares. Although the game's reputation suffers severely due to the persistent butchering of every detail by most mainstream game journalists, it still has a strong fanbase who appreciate the true horrific beauty that is this game. If you have read the overflow of reviews telling people to avoid this game, please, please try it out. I (like many others) went into this game with low expectations and I couldn't be happier for it made the surprise of this game's brilliance so much more impacting. 10/10
