As an RPG, this game falls flat on it's face on multiple accounts. You have to be the "good guy sole survivor" who loves to help others in need. This contrasts to previous Fallout games drastically, where you could massacare or nuke a town at your whim. *Almost* all of the factions you can ultimately side with just have different means to get to the same ending, which was extremely dissapointing. Most NPCs are marked essential, which kinda sucks. Some of my favorite moments in Fallout: N.V. were that of me going around murdering named and important NPCs because I could. It really lacks the longevity of previous Bethesda games, which is sad.

This game as a shooter is pretty subjective. I personally disliked the ranged combat, but at least it's an improvement from other games. The melee combat is fairly similar to older games, so I don't have much comments to that.

The sidequests (or lack there of) are extremely dissapointing. Most of the quests, especially the faction-specific ones, were TERRIBLE. They're like an eternal grind, sending you off to some forsaken part of the map to collect a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ piece of tech or shoot a few raiders/ghouls.

Bugs were plentiful, as with most Bethesda games. Some were minor, but others were practically game-breaking (I got stuck on a main quest that wouldn't trigger a scripted event and had to reload my game several times to get it to work). Honestly though, I can't excuse the bugs just because it's "a Bethesda game", because it's still a full $60 release.

Story was meh. Predictable twists, not much there.

Overall
5/10
Get it if you're absolutely craving a mediocre open-world game.

actually it's a bethesda game so....10/10 BEST GAME EVER

Don't get me wrong, I love the Borderlands series. This game, in my opinion, was vastly inferior to Borderlands 2. I have over four times the amount of hours on Borderlands 2 than I do Borderlands: The Pre-Sequal.
Cons
Reasons
Story
Story didn't feel as in-depth as Borderlands 2. It felt like a backstory, that didn't need to be a full game, maybe a DLC at most.
Humor
The vast amount of humor that you found in BL2, one of the main reasons for that game being so great, is just not found in this game in the quantities previously mentioned.
Bosses/Enemies
Some of the enemies are non-respawnable, and other bosses, be it mini-boss or not, just don't seem as rushed additions with no real purpose (I'm looking at you RK5)

Pros
Reasons
Gameplay (Guns)
The new features, cryo weapons & laser weapons, may not completely change the way combat feels, but it brings new options to the table.
Gameplay (Environment)
The zero-gravity environment also changes the way people will play, doing "butt slams" and such, with core gameplay still there.
Cosmetics
While in the vast range of moon and space, I genuinely felt in awe of the art style I fell in love with, yet again seeing the new areas.

Overall Verdict
This game shouldn't have been a full $60 game. Maybe $40-50 at most. I think the main reason it wasn't up to par was that, plainly put, it wasn't a needed story. As I previously mentioned, it felt like this game was just a backstory that should've been a DLC. My score for this game?
5/10
