If you love mysteries, cryptography, guessing games, being confused, good art, and top-down combat, you'll like this game a lot.

I like the art and the combat, but as it turns out, I can't stand the rest. This isn't a game for everyone- it's a game for a certain kind of person- which is how games ought to be designed. I am just not that person.

While I have given this game a negative score, I do so only because I'd call it scarcely below average. There's a lot to appreciate about this game- it has some beautiful environmental designs, a good mechanical foundation for entertaining gameplay, and a promise of a long-term co-op experience it can absolutely deliver upon.
However, it doesn't all come together. While the set pieces are beautiful, they often don't come together in meaningful ways. The environmental views are beautiful, but fail to tell a total, coherent, or terribly meaningful story about the world or characters you encounter near it. The mechanics are occasionally marred by poor foresight, such as allowing characters to spec out for melee before giving them a boss that flies, or making enemies scale with your item level- meaning the game is made HARDER by upgrading items. Co-op is... Well, it's perfectly fine, frankly. The netcode is pretty great.

TL;DR: While it's not for me, it's very possible to enjoy it regardless, but I would recommend you do a lot of research before spending your money. Many of it's failings can be deal breakers.

One of the most heart-pounding, high adrenaline, and surprisingly- emotionally meaningful games I have ever played.
I struggle to think of ways this game doesn't deliver- it's art style is striking and moody, the character design is simple yet communicates very effectively and powerfully, the writing knows when it can be fun and goofy, and when it needs to punch you in the heart, and most importantly... The gameplay is polished to a shine. It will push you to your limit while offering you every tool that you need not only to win, but to play in a way that suits you best without offering overpowered options.
Fight Knight is my personal game of the year. I cannot recommend it enough.
