Some of the best building in any game out there. Combat is pretty awful, though, so fighting a horde of skeletons or spiders can make you unable to counter/dodge pretty quickly, even in a small team/group.

Overall, worth buying and playing just to build.

First off, I wanted to say that I think that this game could be super special if fleshed out. Storytelling is witty and funny, with pop-culture references sprinkled throughout. It's really good at getting the training across as well, and I genuinely enjoyed playing this game!

With that said, the swordplay is good enough in ways I like, having to parry, dodge, and counter, with opponents able to do the same. But sometimes it feels like maybe implementing some sort of stamina feature might help with the fact that some opponents are just very fast and able to combo without end. The overall game-play is very rudimentary in its current state, but for a free game, it's good.

UI can use some overhauling and maybe some sort of better looting/interaction system could be implemented from other more AAA titles (seeing the item name pop up with an icon to interact comes to mind). Menu UI is also lack-luster, and very similar to games developed and played 20 years ago.

Additionally, I would like to see better voice acting in future developments, but for an indie game, you can't expect anything crazy well developed in that department.

I'm excited to see what Knight's Path has in store next. I would definitely be a supporter of any future development. Great work, Jan and Aamn!

666.6 hours played, so my brain won't let me play this game anymore. Fun game, though.

Addicting.

You have spent approximately $33,232.64 USD in the game after this card set was released.

Still refuse to call it anything other than Rome: Total War.

A sequal to one of the staple Total War games, Rome: Total War, Total War: Rome 2 is, and was an overrated game. With all of the hype of a possibly outstanding game for the ages, Rome 2 falls short of it's predicessors in a lack of overall finish, game polish, and solid in-game strategy proponents. I was one of many who pre-ordered the game and was unable to get my pre-order "free" DLC because I wasn't able to download it on the first day. I also faced the problems many have talked about in these forums. From being unable to play, sleeping during the incrediably long turn lengths, being utterly disappointed in the battles (a favorite of mine), and wondering where certain in-game icons and trees (family tree, unique faction introduciton videos, guard mode as well as loose formation for ALL units, etc.). Overall, I would say this game as a bust and completely a waste of $60. My "metascore" wouldn't be a generous 76/100, but a mediocre 55/100.
