This is actually one of the best games every made.

A great survivor-like game! Quite a fun and funky art style, paired with satisfying combo chaining and a fresh take on the genre, with a decent amount of content so far! Definitely worth the price :)

An amazing remake! The game feels exactly like it did, it's only with the rare adjustment that I catch myself thinking 'oh, right, it's the remake!'. Other than that, the experience is very smooth and modern, the game play feels crisp, the accessibility options are great, sounds are amazing!

Maybe the only thing I could say is that the voice acting is not quite up to par of the original. I understand that the new voice actors may have been necessary, but most of them simply don't live up to the quality previously established (with the exception of Kemsyt, so far I like the new VA more! Looking forward to more surprises :D).

If you liked this game 20 or so years ago, you'll like this one too :) And if you're just interested in RTS, this one has a cool spin to it with myth units, heroes and god powers that keep the game feeling spicy and fresh, over the common inf > cav > archer > inf triangle. Worth a try for sure!

This game is really good, despite its somewhat buggy state. If you enjoyed Warband you will most probably enjoy this one too!

If you do decide to purchase it before the bugs are fleshed out, make sure to save before doing anything significant, like accepting a quest or attacking a hideout. It seems like a lot of bugs are tied to specific quests, scenarios or date de-syncs which cause your game to freeze and crash; often times corrupting your save files in the process.

Save abundantly, save often and enjoy!

I am a big fan of the Franchise, played eves since the first game. HoMM 1, 2 and 3 will be forever etched into my childhood. Wasn't really a fan of the 4th one, 5 was pretty great for its time, and here we are at 6. I'll start of by saying that the graphics and animations are pretty amazing, making me want to come back to this game every time. On the other hand, playing mostly solo the one thing that kills it for me is AI. The AI is just plainly annoying.

I play on normal difficulty, and don't really fall behind, but whenever an enemy hero comes near my kingdom with an army of similar size (mousing over them shows difficulty as : average) they will do evertyhing to stay one step out of my movement. Chasing them is futile because even with similar armies if they think they might lose, they will just run away and bail.

At the same time try attacking their kingdom and their army is suddenly set to : Deadly and will completely annihilate you. I haven't won a single game yet. It's just a cycle of building up my hero and army and then having them stomped by an enemy that spent half the game running away from me, only to come back with the bigges army. Makes for great entertainment. I'll be putting this one back on the shelf....

This game is brutal. Let's face it, you will play hardcore league sooner or later. It will get you attached to a character and break your heart as it see's them die to a misfortunate turn of events. And that funky skill tree and many skill gems make for tons of fun combinations to try out. Replayabality through the roof, and that makes for some quality gameplay. Don't believe me?
