You're as beautiful as the day I lost you

For someone that hates that majority of horror games, I thought that this remake was absolutely fantastic.
Sure it has some issues, however the pros massively outweigh the cons.
The atmosphere is phenomenal, art direction and symbolism are fantastic, combat feels good.
The first half, and the final quarter of the game have a decent pace to them.

My biggest gripes with the game are that there are far too many combat encounters, and the length of the 3rd quarter of the game should really be cut down. It got to the point that as there were far too many combat encounters, the enemies lost all impact as I was so completely desensitised to them and too well versed in dealing with them. In total I had killed 433 enemies by the end. I was also overflowing with items. I played on standard combat & puzzle, and going into the final boss I had 80 health drinks, almost 40 syringes, and far more ammo than I would know what to do with.

However despite that all that, I would still 100% recommend playing it, and I'm so glad that I did. It's hard to describe just how well made this game is, and the love the developers had for the original.

I really want to play more of this, but the way the pixel art moves and scales when the camera zooms out irritates my eyes. In the sections where the camera doesn't zoom out or in, it's much easier on the eyes.

Just a fantastic game for such a cheap price, you'd be a fool to miss out on it

This game just keeps getting better and better with each DLC pack. The most recent update has also enabled far faster turn times, so it's far faster to actually progress through the campaign. I prefer this total war over all the others I've played

Worth it for the cinema mode alone. Watching Netflix etc. using the cinema is brilliant!

I own many different editions of Skyrim, after a bit of modding to improve visuals, it's easily my favourite version of Skyrim so far.

While very short and not something I'd come back to, it's still the first thing I get people to do when trying VR the first time. It's the easiest way to show people the way your brain reacts to VR.
