Almost a 1000 hours in 6 years after release. 550 hours player pre-IB (before 2020). Zero hours regretted, also much better than Rise in my opinion. A lot of content to play around with in the first place, along with massive replay potential. Insanely fun with friends, zero pressure game, community is chill unless you come across speedrunners.

My favorite game out of the entire series and one of my favorite games of all time, if not THE favorite. I am continuously playing still, even if you think you've seen everything the game has to offer, you have not. There are so many intricate details in each and every map, in every monster design, in every piece of armor and weapons you equip. Great collabs such as DMC and The Witcher, great character customizability (after a certain point in Iceborne), massive freedom over how you can play every single weapon... It's an overall great game and it also rarely ever has bugs, and when there are, they're usually simple things like clipping out of bounds or your health bar being glitched. Enjoyable both with and without Iceborne, base game is just as massive as Iceborne is. Would recommend you get it before Wilds releases next year (2025) so you can have a taste before Monster Hunter moves on as a series once more. Look for a sale.
