Great gameplay, cool music, really enjoyed this. The multi-classing system is really well done, but near the end I found it a bit annoying to switch up the characters' play styles so much, so I don't think I went as deep with it as I could have.

I found the dialogue and story quite dull in this one, though. I've enjoyed the writing in other SteamWorld games, but here it just felt like a chore.

The gameplay pull me through, though, so overall a really good game.

This is a push-your-luck worker placement game with great writing and atmosphere. I really like the changes to the dice system in this sequel, although I think I enjoyed the characters and story of the first game a bit more.

It starts off a bit rough. In the first couple of missions, until you really understand the system, you'll likely come out of it quite damaged. I think they were trying to show the consequences of pushing your luck too much right at the start of the game, but they don't really explain it very well. I restarted my game, and I've seen a lot of other people say they restarted as well. It's a pretty poor introduction that I imagine could throw some people off.

After that the difficulty drops way down. I played on normal and probably should have upped the difficulty, but I kind of like this as as cozy, atmospheric game rather than a struggle.

The main story is unrelated to the first game, but I'd still start there. I think this one assumes you already understand the world and what Sleepers are.

What the hell did I just play?

Engaging and unnerving. Main complaint is that the sound design is maybe a little too good.

I loved this. Short, surprising, and hilarious. The voice-acting is just perfect.

Fun game - really like the hero progression and matching them together to form different decks, but it didn't really grab me the way some deck-builders do. Really worth checking out, though.

I still find it completely astounding just how much is available to play in this.

Great game. The main gameplay loop is really satisfying, and it's actually a very relaxing game to play. I was expecting a similar vibe to Sunless Sea, but this wasn't really stressful at all. Still manages to stay interesting, though, and I found the boat upgrade progression really engaging.

I swear those rocks weren't there, though.

Relaxing game with some clever puzzles and an interesting story. Kind of a cozy Papers, Please. Really enjoyed my time with it, but didn't feel the urge to continue unlocking everything after finishing.

It would have been fun to not be blocked when choosing the wrong plant and see the incorrect effect play out, but I can understand how that would have been a major change and potentially changed the whole vibe.

Worked well with the Steam Deck. There's some small text, but they make it easy to zoom in while reading.

Pro tip: if you pet the cat before ringing the bell, she won't get startled.

Loved every second of this game.
