This game's fantastic. You don't need to play the first one, but there are bits in this you'll appreciate more if you have.

Anodyne 2's 2D segments are packed with great puzzles like the first one had, and the addition of 3D areas really allow for exploration with enjoyable movement mechanics. Moving through this world feels really good once you've got a handle on things.

Story-wise, it's great. I don't want to spoil anything, just that the writing is really clever and charming and it's full of characters you actually care about.
