Outer wilds is one of the strongest emotional experiences available in gaming, or any other media for that matter. Experiencing the little solar system the developers have crafted will be worth your time.

Temple Gates focuses on clarity, polish, and a solid AI in their digital versions of boardgames, and Roll is no different. I'd played the cardboard version of Roll a couple times several years back, and I didn't really remember the rules. The tutorial brought me up to speed quickly and the redesign of the phase selection strip into a dice mat with a special "lock" position clears up the most confusing part of the original rules. The digital version has fast shortcuts that speed up the least important decisions (when I don't have enough money to pick up all my dice, of course I want to leave the basic ones) but gives you a chance to confirm and tweak in the few cases where the default answer is wrong.

As for Roll itself, it feels similar but different from Race for the Galaxy. Some "dice game" reimaginings feel like "casual" versions of the source material, but Roll feels like a deep, well-designed game that can stand on its own.
