I brought this game because it looked interesting and lets face it who hasnt wanted to cause the next Chernobyl or three mile island

I really want to give this game the thumbs up as its a solid concept but unfortunately I cant it becomes frustrating and a bit boring if im honest

the only thing you'll be catching in this game is a net full of bugs

UPDATE:
following the devs advice to give it another go after the latest update I find that the sonar shows fish lots of fish all near my boat so naturally i drop line after line as the sonar is telling me that there are lots of fish (many more fish then showed up before the update) there only to return 20 hrs later to be greeted by no fish low population shallow water excuses when hauling in empty line after empty line.

game broke after 5 minutes poor performance in game and bugs cropping up from the very start, considering the wait for this game to be released because they were fixing it its a complete joke

one word describes this game mediocre, for nearly £60 you would expect the game to offer something out of the ordinary but it doesnt there is nothing that makes this game stand out from any of the other sandbox construction city building games many of which come without such a hit to your wallet.

Gameplay feels clumsy at best, and theres no effort in research no goals to reach to unlock any tier except researching the level below it first.

the fact that this game came out with a delux version on day one just gave a cash grab feel to the entire experience, its almost as if they stripped out all the good parts of the game and put them in a DLC. having a day one DLC and season pass for this game that costs more then the base game is a punch to the gut. one can only hope that there is a lot more to come, but experience tells me that when this sales model is used it usually just getting what should have been in the game to begin with.

the game is boring, I know people have said that the game becomes interesting later on but theres no motivation to get there, within 10 minuetes I had all the materials I needed and nothing to do except sit and watch the drones working, I even went and ate tea leaving the game running with no ill effect and nothing really happened at all.

I am basically looking at the £35 I spent on this game as a lesson learnt but theres no way I am investing any more in this game as I dont feel that it was worth £35 it would struggle to get past £20 in value for money

this isnt a video game its a vicera and blood strewn crimescene

the developers had started by adding content on a weekly basis that aided the games development but now they are just adding useless little additions while ignoring game breaking bugs that they have created with previous updates.

pistons, rotors, ladders (which they removed because they couldnt make them work even when ladders are in hundreds of other games with out a problem), lag when mining all flaws that ruin gameplay and are just ignored by the developers.

I so wanted to write a positive review and would have a couple of months ago but now I cant as I dont see this game ever being the playable gem it shows so much promise to be

The developers have seriously lost the plot and the game is starting to resemble every other Sci-Fi based game out there and the 'realism' promised at the start has all but disappeared

Also and this is more worrying then anything that they have added to the game is the dev's released the source code to anyone and everyone a couple of months ago and the only reason they have done this is because they are incapable of fixing most of the bugs they created and are looking for a community bailout (look how that worked out in Greece)and then adding them to the game as 'community fixes' so uless you want to pay for a game tha you are willing to code yourself dont buy this game

I wish I had the time to list everything that is wrong with this game but Im 43 yrs old and I really dont think I'll live to be 115 so I dont have the time......so in short just dont buy this game the developers (I use that term VERY loosely) have all but abandoned it and are literally only making one time a year pointless updates that do nothing to further this games development

update: ok a year on and the game development has gone into reverse its even worse then it was now thats an achievment right there.

this game has potential.........the potential to make you cry when you realise you spent £20 on it

just check out the release date here on steam and then check out the developers roadmap the only item completed is the first one create the world size.

even for an alpha this dissappoints tremendously, no updates for ages and now it seems its back to square one with an engine change
