A wonderful visual novel/Walking Sim that presents some big questions and leaves you with some existential thinking much like SOMA.

If you want a visual treat and IMMERSION and V I B E this is for you.

Star Wars Squadrons is a return of the classic 90s era space games that many of us were brought up up. A solid experience with a decent but enjoyable story, action filled combat; and a wonderful time with friends!

-----

Squadrons is a game that right off the bat will not be for everyone. Well it's not quite a Elite Dangerous or Star Citizen in terms of realism for those seeking a space simulator, Star Wars Squadrons occupies a middle ground for those of us seeking a little bit more depth from our space games. With the industry heavily favoring other genres, space combat has been largely neglected and shoved into the arcade territory. Squadrons fixes this problem by giving a competent 5v5 dogfighting game, complete with their signature mode fleet battles, Which reminisces back to Star Wars Battlefront 2's Space Battles.

The game provides many staples of the space simulator genre including power management, shield management, and customizable starfighters. From cosmetics to swapping from ion to laser weaponry there's a little something for everyone in this game.

Team play is absolutely essential in this game. You can absolutely lone wolf it and rack up a high kill count but nobody playing the objective will result in many lost matches very quickly. gameplay is further enhanced by the support of VR and HOTAS setups. Sadly this reviewer does not have VR capability and cannot comment on it.

8/10 overall

The lack of private matches is slightly disappointing as you cannot have a jolly good time with Friends by yourself. The game is dealing with a lot of quitters at the moment which mess up matchmaking. No potential planned DLC or content is slightly worrying as finding this game is like a fresh of breath air only to find out that you may have to put your head underneath the gaming waters for another 20 years and hope for another good space game...

TIE Defender and B-Wing please Motive/EA..

DOOM Eternal takes the formula that was established in 2016 and 1993 even before and builds on it. Like the odd sequel that DOES NOT bomb or the next book that amazes even more then the first; DOOM Eternal jumps at you right out of the gate and proudly declares itself number 1. From set pieces, weapons, locations, EVEN THE PERFORMANCE OF THE GAME. Everything is butter smooth, top notch; and you can easily tell that the Developers put 100% and Plus-Ultra into their love of a Game.

Not everything is perfect, mod support and custom maps and such like Snap-Map would be welcome, but hopefully we may see more in the future. Other things like the new AMMO and MELEE limitations may aggravate some veterans, even myself; but a quick dip into the new Blood Punch mechanic, along with realizing you always have a chainsaw for ammo and these worries evaporate. Even the Dreaded Marauder (Which I personally feel is the worst enemy in the game) begins to fall easily near the end of the game once you grasp the new mechanics.

DOOM will not hold your hand. It will not go easy on you. Expect Ultra-Violence to be a sharp difference from 2016. And on Nightmare I found this game will punish you for even the slightest mistake.

But that does not matter.

"Against all the evil that hell can conjure.. All the wickedness that mankind can produce.. We will send unto them, only you..

Rip and Tear.. Until it is Done.."

It has highlights of Chivalry and Mount and Blade. For 30 bucks you can’t go wrong.

You will die lots. Things will seem OP or UP. But if you embrace the learning curve you will come out ahead.

I can’t wait to see how they support this game.

This is not a game.. An experience such as this MUST be felt. It made me question current life views values, morals, and even my own outlook on life. No game in the past few years has forced a man who has morning shifts to power through it with such reckless interest. I constantly wanted to dive deeper, explore more, find out what happens next. SOMA is a game, but is also a story and an experience. One that you need to see and experience. One that your friend needs to experience. One that I think everyone needs to experience.

Move your cursor over to buy, click add to cart. Then click "purchase for myself". Then lock yourself in your room/office/hidey hole, and lock the door. Then proceed to turn off your lights, wear your headset/crank the volume, and question what your own consciousness is.. Welcome to SOMA.

Just the fact that they took the asymetrical gameplay of other games, but provided the originality of sharks vs divers makes this some of the best money I have ever spent. Playing as a Shark will fufill the sadist desires of any player, while playing as a diver is sure to raise both your heart rate and blood pressure. For such a simple game it provides intese moments of fun, chaos and laughs. Nothing beats listening to fully grown men scream over voice because they just got munched on.

Worth your money. Buy it. Love it. Eat it! *NOM!*

This is my all time favorite game.

It has replaced other games I played in my childhood I held as "the best". Granted Dark Souls off the bat is not perfect. Rather what it represents is what I find so appealing. The game is hard, but you can overcome it. It focuses on punishing this current generation of quick rewards, easy push button victories, and billion dollar franchises. The game brings out to me, what games should be all about.

A Challenge.

You will love it. You will hate it. You will learn. And most importantly...

You. Will. Die.

Welcome to Dark Souls.
