This game has great potential and can be fun, but, it is horribly unstable, there has been no sign of patching and no attempt to curtail people using hacks, to frequently troll entire servers.

Fun, and Hilarious, would like to see more story DLC come out.

I've been waiting and watching, but this game continues to go backwards.

No real reason to get this now, as the primary creature on it, just got nerfed into no more than a novelty tame, of no practical use. They should have focused on filling gaps in the kibble/taming tree.

I feel conflicted about this game, while the gameplay is sufficient, it is not very dynamic, I'm finding a high degree of repetition in flora and fauna between planets and solar systems and the only real difference, seems to be atmospheric, which just means you're either getting hotter, colder, regardless of what type, it plays the exact same way. The first gameplay preview video on the store page is extremely misleading, as actual gameplay is really a bare shadow of what that video suggests and even the 2nd video, while toned down, is not entirely accurate, as you seem to be able to fly much lower, than you actually can, before landing.

Flying within an atmosphere, is bland, they may as well add an auto-pilot function to take you from point A to B, there is no fast paced low flight across the landscape, seldom any sense of speed, no thrill whatsoever.

Your discoveries within these landscapes are repeatative, the same few building classifications with a few variations in design.

It is a vast open game, with, just not a whole lot in it, I can't see there being much point after I've maxed out ship, multitool and suit slots.

I have a more than sufficient system, but, after an hour of so of play, the stutter and memory leak gets pretty bad and I have to restart the game as it slows to a crawl.

This game gives the impression of quantity, but I've seen very little variance and it doesn't have much in the way of quality either, it will be interesting to wander for a while, but is fading rapidly.

It's basically smoke and mirrors, a concept piece, held between two mirrors to give the impression of vast infinity, but, each reflection only varies a little cosmetically.

Ultimately, I cannot recommend this game at it's full asking price. I'd suggest picking it up on a sale, at 50% or more off, for the interesting concept, as I've been playing on, hoping for variety, any change of pace, anything different and have not found it after 30 hours of play.

Not worth buying if you own the original.

It's a pile of crap, don't waste your money. I won't bother with details, I'm sure prior negative reviews covered them.

It's basically Lord of the Flies, most of the population are trolls, you will get spam killed by guns after loading in with a rock. You'll build up supplies, which will be taken, often via hacks. Legacy was somewhat fun for a short while, the new stuff, is terrible. Some potential for fun, or at least maybe not getting spam killed a dozen times in the first 20 minutesm, on a friendly server when playing the legacy version.

I've come back to the game again and again, in the hopes that the patching has turned the game into something worthy of the series, or at least the full pre-order price I paid for it. It continues to disappoint. The battles are not epic. Units continue to blob in combat. The politics lack depth. Previous titles felt immersive, this one is just a dull and lifeless waiting game. Were they to make a following title, Med 3, it would have to be a true masterpiece of a game to win back my loyalty to the series, but after this, I do not think they are capable of it.
