The least original game I've played in 5 years. It's literally Spelunky or countless others, just with a different skin.

I don't get the hype about this one. I haven't played long enough to form an actual well-knit opinion, but I'll say it: Don't play this game. If you're into 2D action roguelike games, you should get The Binding of Isaac. Nevertheless, I might give this one a third try in the future. Just to see if my taste will have changed.

Before I write anything, I want to assure you I've played and finished this game despite the numbers above. Apparently, I bought a restricted(?) version, and Steam won't let me write a review for it. Even though it's got achievements and everything, so I'm sure it's legit. Nevermind. I bought a new copy with all the DLCs, cause I plan on playing it again.

As you've probably already read, the freedom you've got in this game is incredible. You can take a stealthier approach or loudly kill every single guard standing in your way. It's entirely up to you. The story is neither bad nor breathtaking. But the atmosphere! I might be a little biased here since I adore steampunk games, but Dishonored's atmosphere will swallow you whole. The game looks great despite the dated graphics, thanks to its beautiful and original art style. The voice acting is also impeccable. As for combat, there are so many ways to get rid of your enemy. It'll take you a while to get the hang of the combat system, but once you do, you'll love it. Other than that, the gameplay is pretty standard.

From time to time, I had a feeling the game is unfinished, not sure why that is. Maybe because the environment felt kind of empty (occasionally)? The story is good but not groundbreaking. It won't take you long to finish (took me 13 hours), make of that what you will. Magnificent atmosphere. Impeccable acting. Innovative gameplay.

I can recommend this game.
