pretty good game i think

While it's not perfect and some of the most annoying parts of the game (Crusade battles, most of Act 4 on repeat playthroughs) truly drag it down. However, I think the highs it provides eclipse a lot of other "cool moments" in most games.

It often goes on sale for 2-5 bucks, if you like the genre there is no reason not to get it and give it a whirl. Don't be afraid to lower the difficulty until you can get a good hang of the quasi-PF1e system, it takes some time.

Also look up every puzzle solution in the game, trying to understand them is not worth your time. The slabs are fun to figure out once, same with the various other things scattered around, but you genuinely risk losing out on important things over some (in my opinion) very peculiarly designed challenges.

The only bad part about this game is that I can only experience it for the first time once.

But it's fun to also play it with friends so let's call it even!

This is the kind of game I had been looking for since forever. Grid turn based combat with army management that doesn't only have indoor or cramped as hell maps. And the balance is actually pretty good too!

The story is nothing groundbreaking but still enjoyable enough, some characters have more screentime than others but the upcoming DLC will give more info on some of the less developed personalities.

Overall I loved it, on my third playthrough and loving every single second of it.

Elden Ring is for the most part great, amazing even. It runs like dogwater (unless you are on Linux for some reason) regardless of PC specs, and much like DS1, the latter part of the game is pretty awful compared to the start.

Co-op is fun, but killing an overworld boss will make your phantom, or phantoms, go away. I personally enjoy the PvP, but I understand a lot of people not being into it.

The best way to fix issues with this game is thanks to the Seamless co-op mod. Now you can truly go through the entire world with your friends non stop if you want to, and if you wanna do PvP there are a bunch of custom made maps (screw arena) with much needed quality-of-life features. Not to mention all the various modifications to the PvE experience (randomizers, mods like Unalloyed, etc) that can be experienced that way.

tl;dr great game, second half blows, use mods to fix coop and dueling
