Probably one of my most frustrating gaming experiences.

This game is amazing. Truly, it had the potential to be a shining gem out there. If you play the solo campaign, it is great and fun and totally worth it. Get it on sale and you should have no regrets.

Yet, I do not feel like I can recommend it because in multiplayer it is ridden with bugs and glitches that are not just game-breaking but can also ruin a good 5h+ run.

And this is such a shame because the multiplayer experience has almost everything to be amazing. Until your game crashes after 10 floors and a corrupted save file keeps you from recovering it. Or the game decides to act as though you did not kill all monsters, and thus prevents you from healing, although you did. Or some mechanics do not work as intended (plenty of bugs including the Mechanic Pal module). And quite a handful others including syncing issues where what players see on their end differs from the other players' experience. I had my friend's character dying to a monster although he had moved his character back to a safe room. On my end it only looked like he was still in the monster's room, getting beaten down, and thus died. But then his items spawned in the safe room, showing that he was not lying when he said he had moved back. And he was the host, so his "version", if not properly synced with mine, should have had precedence.

tl;dr, I love the game, it has amazing potential, but if you want to play in multiplayer, too many game-breaking bugs can really ruin your experience, especially in a roguelilke that can prove tough and requires micromanagement where small mistakes can end you. And when the game has been out for a while and even issued DLCs but did not fix these major bugs, this really saddens me and I cannot honestly recommend the game.

One of these games that anyone "should have played at least once". Played through this for the first time back when I was a kid, played it again some 15 years later - for nostalgia's sake I thought - and just taking my time reading through all the lore, books, newspapers, etc. discovered so much more than I had in my original playthroughs. And I am sure that I have missed quite a few secrets and hidden paths along the way.

Deus Ex is a piece of art. Gameplay-wise, you can customize your character and weapons to suit your style, and there are always several ways to reach an objective; which also gives the game great replay value. You may go for the silent approach, lockpicking your way to vents to complete your objective unnoticed, but you could also just walk through the main door facing the alarmed enemies with a rocket launcher. You may also just hack automatic turrets to kill your enemies or booby trap the building...

On top of that, choices do matter and change the way the story unfolds. The atmosphere really takes you in, the characters have depth, the general story is challenging and thought-provoking.

The game is simply a timeless must-play.

By far one of the best roguelikes out there.

Well over 300h and countless games and characters played, I still feel that I've barely scratched the surface of all that the game has to offer. The character building possibilities (plenty race/class combinations to choose from, and for each at the very least 2 viable different ways to play, usually more) seem endless, the lore is amazing, the sheer amount of non-useless loot will have you constantly hunting for more...

Yes the graphics and animations are very old school but this you can see from the videos and pictures and if this is enough for you to rebuke the game, you will not read my review anyway. I care about gameplay and this game is so deep and well crafted in this regard that I cannot stop playing it. Besides I'm very happy that I can run this game on a potato.

On top of this all, the developer DarkGod is great, listens to the community and regularly updates the game and the community is amazing, both very helpful on IRC and the Forum but also helping design new classes, weapons and skilltrees.

For a game that brought me so many hours of fun, such a low price is truly a steal.

Usually not a big fan of Point & Click but Read Only Memories has been an amazing experience. Rich story, nice characters, multiple choices where choices DO matter; all backed up by sharp future retro synthpop to create an enveloping cyberpunk atmosphere.
Worthy of notice, I have "beaten" the game but only reached 27/64 achievements, this should be a decent hint of the replayability of the game.

Volgar gives off this arcade vibe of old games like Rastan. It is quite hard and challenging but also fair and you can really feel that you are improving overtime. Beautifully executed, simple and smart with a few secrets to find out, it is quite worth its price (especially when on sale!).

A flurry of retro special effects, old school synthpop and over-the-top action scenes, Kung Fury aims at being a tribute to the 80s and does the job damn well, including subtle (and less subtle) references to action flicks, comics and video games of yore as well as a couple sharp one-liners.
A fan-funded work of passion released for the enjoyment of all, completely free.
Just watch it already!
