This game expands like a bear filled with helium. When you think you've got it beat it swipes at you with new features. Automation is your only defence.

You don't need much programming experience, if any. And it's a reasonable intro into javascript.

It's classed as an idle game, but there's none of the usual artificial time-sinks or progress blocks, tasty.

Great party game. Good with 2 but better with 3+. Could use some polish but workable and fun.

Depth is ridiculous. The acting, flow and mechanics are great, story and combat is good.
Little rough around the edges but nothing gamebreaking. Minor render artifacting before driver update.

Fantastically satisfying builder, crack for programmers or the like minded.

- update for space age DLC:

The expansion adds an incredible amount of gameplay over vanilla. It starts at the end of a standard playthrough, taking you through multiple highly varied planets with widely disparate challenges. 70 hours in i've managed to get some science out of the fourth new planet and i'm still progressing through the research tree.

Excellent explorer/survival if your pc won't play No Man's Sky and you're not bitter. Good upgrade mechanics, base building is great, and stumbling upon cool things is how its design rolls.

Originally had a lot of problems with it, but after a couple of releases, it was in an entirely playable state and worth at least 20hours. Better with friends.

In the same 'weirdness' vein as Stanley Parable, the story is well written and delivered. Short but sweet.

Good enough gameplay out of this one, plays very like terraria in combat/building and everything else.

Difficult to understand even with the small tutorial. Dialogs are crazy sluggish, UI is entirely broken on some resolutions, and you can get trapped in some dialogs (inventory full) which locks you out of the save/quit menu.

Research is satisfying but confusing, and clunkily displayed. Buildings sometimes wont place, fsr. 'Map' brings up a blue sphere, and a colour pallete ':l

Worth a couple of quid maybe, but expect a pre-alpha build.

Story based puzzler, good music, good atmosphere, interesting story.

I'm enjoying it, but bearly. The combat is rewarding but super punishing of any mistake. Bosses are often at the end of large levels that need to be traversed every time you die. No story nor helpful npcs, and no quest log for hints on where to go. Level design is laughably bad at times, required stairs or paths are hidden away, or doors you get the key to are half way through an previous town.

It's playable without GFWL post-update which is great, but it still looks like ass. Texture repeating is everywhere, the lighting isn't great and the skyboxes are dire.

The satisfaction of killing difficult things is there, but you have to endure a lot of pain to get at it.
