Don't run this on Steam, ever. Just get it off Nexon's site, if you play for hours at a time, it will freeze. And when it freezes, even after the program is closed, steam will register it as running. Restarting steam or your computer will solve nothing.

ArcheAge is pretty alright, I obviously can't write an extensive review due to my lack of game time but I will say what I think of it. It seems pretty solid so far, and works great in full screen. However, when I switched to windowed mode, which I use on any and all games with the option available, I get so many issues it's not even funny. Textures really love blinking in and out on you when in windowed, making it a total turn off for people like me who eyeball things like skype 24/7.

I would still recommend trying it out, and I do intend on trying it again in a couple months to see if the issue is resolved.

This game seemed to have potential when I first logged in. The graphics looked nice and shiny, and it started with a rather lulzy intro to the game. Sure, you get one character for free, and as you proceed among quests you do get the little green gems that count towards real life currency and can be spent on a second or even third character. But what turned out to be a decent game quickly became increasingly simple. Yes, you can customize your own tower, but almost everyone in the same heart level range has the same damn set up until you get high up in the chain. Further, this game feels like a facebook game, seeing as how it is single player with the capability of showing off your crap to friends, and having them do whatever to help you proceed.

TL;DR - Too much like Farmville, die in a fire.
