Best thing about this game? You can switch between your sadistic and masochistic side fairly easily, especially if you've purchased some of the cooler killers (the Hag is one of my personal favs). I also enjoy being a survivor-- even more so if the killer is extremely skilled and I rake in the blood points like I've won the lotto because I just barely outran the other guy XD

Really wish more of my friends played this-- because then some of the trolling that happens a little too regularly in the public server would be curbed a bit, but yeah, it's fine on public overall, I guess.

Cons? The absolutely HORRENDOUS wait times to be paired with people, and there's literally no way to predict when you have two minutes to wait or even twenty. I usually keep Netflix or YouTube open in case the wait is too long so I'm not bored. The regular cheating is also a problem, so if someone is slowing down your frame-rate and graphics by just being near them (especially if you're the killer)-- they are most likely cheating. Report their ass and try to keep the game fair for all!

But yeah! If becoming a murderous, supernatural entity has been one of your life-long desires, check this game out! Or, you know, die trying to survive~

Probably the best feline adventure and story-based RPG game you can get your hands on to date.

I was worried about about a lack of gameplay mechanics and interesting story progression after the sewer level, but that was swiftly remedied when we arrive at AntVillage and are given a little reprieve from the admittedly dreary and lonesome post-apocalyptic background.

Don't get me wrong. It got a little boring with the constant fetch-quests and basically doing nearly everything for these robots because they are astoundingly useless and apathetic a good majority of the time-- which I guess I should be giving them a pass for because they are not human-- but still. This game is very adorable, and astoundingly accurate with the stray's mannerisms and movements.

The game definitely feels more alive and interesting the farther you progress through the chapters, but finding badges and memories can be a chore, so if you're not into collecting items/achievements, you will likely sail through the game much smoother.

Some cons?

1) I kind of wish the developers had made the cat able to interact a bit more organically with the environment, like allow it to jump whenever or wherever instead of only on certain objects. Maybe even allowing the cat to hunt and feed on rats or tiny mutants or whatever would have been interesting, since we can drink water in the beginning of the game but no longer seem to have the need to do so later on?
2) I am both shocked and supremely disappointed that you could not customize your cat to look like whatever breed/color: because all we need to know about this cat is that it's a 'stray', right? So why not make it YOUR stray with its unique characteristics? It's literally just some cosmetics that could have been implemented. Maybe now that the game has grown so popular the developers might consider it-- or the modding community will take care of that, which tends to be hit or miss...

Overall, thank-you, devs, for maintaining the intrigue and slowly adding back some of the natural world as we move through the rather nicely constructed narrative. Some of the scenes and memories hit pretty hard, so ye prospective players hath been warned.

Enjoy engaging with your catty side! XD

Still largely unparalleled and unchallenged in my book, as far as Otome games go.

This is honestly one of the most classic and re-playable Japanese Visual Novels available to a wider audience outside of Nihon, and even the anime adaptation cannot do this VN justice with its incredible range of emotions and fairly unique storylines alongside the extremely well-drawn and articulated cast.

The amount of twists and turns throughout all of my playthroughs have hardly been matched by any other Otome VN I've played to date (including some that are still exclusively in Japanese).

I plan on re-living the flirtation, the drama, the love, and the terror all over again this summer.

Anyone else want to join in the fun? I'm sure Ukyo-san will be pleased either way XD

No sound, no settings, and absolutely no way to adjust the controls-- so it's bleh.

This game is about a semi-cute animation of the coronavirus ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ up everything by jumping on platforms and collecting more strength to infect people because of negligent behaviors that are no longer being put in check. Worth the price? I mean...

Nice and simple. It's a word game that has themed levels and even a daily challenge!
I was somewhat addicted XD

Some of the words may have a questionable connection to the theme, but I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Wordle. I also love the fact that the Wordle community appears to have a sense of humor and likes uploading pictures with "hidden messages" or other "intriguing" words they may find (and yes, curse words are not off the table).

This game is a cheap distraction and it will stimulate your brain, especially if you haven't thought of particular words for a very long time.

This game, for me at least, is a solid 7/10.
Not worth sixty bucks, but maybe forty.

Even a C+ would be an appropriate measure.
This game in a nutshell:
Kung-Fu Panda meets Skyrim/Fallout (b/c the mounts and post-apocalyptic stuff).

I guess the biggest negative thing for me was the repetitiveness, and a lot of the issues people have already complained about have either been resolved in updates or will be resolved in the near-future (most likely how easy game-play is and how intrusive the narrator can potentially be, at times).

Pros:

1. Great soundtrack.
2. Pretty cool customization (at the very beginning).
3. Interesting character designs.
4. Freaking beautiful environments.

Neutral (Neuts):

1. A lot more cartoon-ish and silly than I thought it would be.
2. The puzzles, while a bit strange at times, are not super difficult or impossible. (You also get unlimited tries, so there's not much to complain with there).
3. Now the narrator...he does take some getting used to. (I was a little taken aback at how the characters don't actually talk but we have this random British guy narrating and explaining pretty much everything. After a while, I began to appreciate all of his little comments and remarks and it does feel like you have a buddy tagging along with you on this wild adventure. But if having a narrator constantly at your side bugs you, please don't bother with this game. I mean, you could still play it and completely switch the narrator's volume and subtitles off, which was a recently added option, I believe-- but that really defeats the purpose intended by the developers and writers. They wanted to create this sort of hybrid story-book tale with a nature documentary twist. It's pretty bold and unique and it's not something I have ever played with before in a video-game, so I'm somewhat pleased with the risk-taking, even if some of the jokes or comments don't always land right).

Cons:

1. The goat/hooved mount isn't nearly as good as it probably should be. (It's a goat-thing, so it should have no trouble getting up steep mountains but even slightly steep hills seem too much of a challenge, making it frustrating to ride anywhere that's too rocky. It's honestly better to just climb up the hill or mountain yourself sometimes. Even stranger is that I'm not sure if the mount goes any faster than you do while running, so maybe that would be nice change later on: i.e. making the goat-thing move WAY faster).
2. While the intermittent bickering and conversations between your light and dark consciences are amusing, the game really does try to steer you towards one direction or another. (I wish there was something like a "neutral" entity that you could engage with, similar to how you do with light and dark. It would add more nuance, but I suppose a cut-and-dry narrative of good and evil is what they were going for, even if they do give you choices and various dialogues).
3. I HATE that you cannot swim properly in this game. (Your character swims like a complete dumb-ass, so it's no wonder that you need the damn goo-glide-- but ♥♥♥♥, I don't think it's all that realistic. Most animals doggy paddle their way through water pretty naturally, so why can't my mutant character swim like a freaking normal living being?!).
4. There's this random lag/frame-rate stutter that happens periodically-- like once every twenty minutes or so. (I even checked my graphics card and whatnot and it's not that. I even uninstalled and reinstalled my game, but it hasn't helped. What really sucks is if this lag happens during a fight, and I have to wait like three seconds before I can figure out where the hell my move-set landed me on the battlefield. It's really annoying).
5. I did have an expectation for more 'mutations' to occur throughout the game. (Like, I fully expected my character to look super different with like scales and tentacles or some other oddities along the body while I upgraded resistances and stats. While you can technically change your appearance at a bio-pool or whatever, it's really just making your body bigger and head smaller like a juiced-up football player or a giant bobble-head with a ridiculously small body. You don't actually change textures or grow extras limbs or anything that would really scream, "MUTANT!!!" while you're running around. Kinda disappointed).

As the game continues to get updated, I can honestly say it's worth checking out.
It's something experimental and different and not often seen.
Truly one of a kind, so give it a shot.

This game is truly unforgiving, and that is reflected well within the narrative itself.

I never thought being in charge of a bunch of cold, hungry, and miserable British people would be so much fun. Don't get me wrong-- I totally sucked at this game when I first bought it.

It took a lot of trial and error for me to get to level I am at now, and I quickly realized how differently people play the game after talking with a few others. I almost never implemented the extended work-shift and child labor laws, although I almost always chose soup and amputee laws. This just goes to show that no matter how limited the choices appear, there are numerous way to win.

Hell, I even thought I was a God for a while until I attempted survivor mode. Nothing could stop me until the debilitating nature of this restricted style pummeled me into the ground again and again. I feel like a total noob and like all of my academy training has been wasted :,(

Overall, I think this game is worth it for people who like a little challenge and want to manage a post-apocalyptic society by building a ton of cool-looking automatons.

Here's to me some day beating survivor mode! Cheers to a brighter future and to all of us surviving our own emotional winters! *clinks glass of moonshine and raises a shout to those who never got out of Winterhome*

P.S.

I haven't played much of the DLC, but the base game seems to be well-worth the price.

Secret Word: Historic

Yet another interesting title from Randumb Studios! This one appears to be a series, and I am curious to see where it goes. Their choices matter RPG isn't out yet, so I picked this up instead.

It has definitely given me some ideas on how to break out of my "personal shell" that's really more of a flexible membrane at this point XD

I'm pretty sure I know who I am now, after these long, intricate years. I'm not all that uncertain of my path either, but the little activities they gave me at the end were intriguing. I know many other people who would benefit from this mental exercise a lot more than I would. I see this as good for people who literally have no direction in their lives and need a little push or shove.

As always I look forward to the next installment! Thanks again!

This game is long, dark, and incredibly rich with lore and storytelling elements.

It's basically the BBC of all the long-ass post-apocalyptic games I have ever played, and if you are a patient person, you will be greatly rewarded (because damn, that BBC sure is impressive).

By the end, I fully understood everything that was going on (or, well, most of it).

As everyone else has already pointed out, it's a thematic walking simulator and most of the combat can actually be avoided unless it is tailor-made for the storyline/quest you're on.

The only truly negative things I have to say:
1. The music, as amazing and wonderful as it is, cannot be played whenever you want. (A lot of the time this game feels like a road trip, and that is especially true when you're driving a vehicle. Allowing the player to access the radio while they're in a truck makes sense, but Kojima-san won't allow it-- which is EXTREMELY annoying and I wish this would be changed. I mean, I get it, bro. You don't want the player listening to music all of the time instead of the sounds of nature or whatever, but they should be allowed when using the truck, like, come on. At least let me have Low Roar on repeat when I'm on the highway! It's all I ask!).
2. The lull. (It's long because you do a lot of walking, but a lot of the juicy bits are in the middle and towards the end, leaving the beginning particularly barren and at times disturbingly tedious).
3. At the end of chapter seven, there was fairly large exposition dump. (Referring back to point two, I appreciated info being sprinkled here and there throughout the other chapters, but having so much new information surface about certain characters at once was a little jarring, especially concerning how the information had been paced out up until that point— which was, admittedly, pretty slow. However, I more or less enjoyed the slow pace, although I wouldn’t have minded if the previous chapters had picked it up just a tiny bit. A little more information too, and honestly, I probably would have finished this game much sooner if I hadn’t gotten sidetracked with being a post-apocalyptic mailman. Delivering them packages got addictive for a while there, especially when me and my server mates completed the chiral freeway XD).
4. Deadman. (I hated the shower scene. I HATED IT).

And I guess that's pretty much it. This game is what it is. It does not deceive the buyer. Please make an informed purchase by looking at the trailers provided on the Steam Store.
If you want a fast-paced, action-oriented game, just move on.
This game is about taking it sloooowww with that glorious BBC [insert anime hentai sounds here].

P.S.
For real tho, this game took so long, I almost cried when I glitched out in a lake and was unable to make sufficient progress and re-loading my saves was not helping. I couldn't picture myself going through all that again, and luckily I glitched out of my problem the same way I glitched in.
Seriously dodged a bullet there.

P.P.S.
Norman REEdus made me crave Monster for about six months before I forcefully stopped drinking it in-game so I wouldn't be subliminally inclined to buy it. Derp.

A nice and amazingly chill endeavor.

I wanted something lowkey to mess with while I worked on my thesis, and this game was purrfect!
Animations are cute, puzzles aren't too hard (although you do have to think a little on a few), and really it was just the best thing I could have to played at two a.m. with my head practically in my hands.

Romeow's adorable questline has so much heart and courage and cuteness that I was fully revitalized after my first playthrough! The music was bright and playful, and I think this game might be my go-to for a little while when I just need a quick mental break between all the research and reading.

I literally just wanted to zone out for like twenty minutes, and this game did exactly that.

Totally worth the money. Please buy if it interests you and support the developer.

P.S.
The achievement names are positively memetastic! [insert okay sign here]
