An amazing community oriented game, with elements of economics, politics, industry, city building. This has unexpectedly become a game that does it all. The dev roadmap is encouraging, and the community engagement has been great. Be careful with writing your laws, and don't be afraid to check their discord for tips, or ask for help.

One of the best strategy games on the market. Stellaris has grown to become a true consumer of hours as you grow your empire and prepare to conquer the galaxy, or befriend it. The DLC's are solid, the gameplay while it has changed significantly over the years has only added more depth to the management side of gameplay, and there is a great modding community with plenty of extras available if you're into that.

Only downside. If you're buying this for multiplayer, beware. There have been long term issues with the multiplayer games desnycing and rendering the game bugged and unplayable. This has been an issue since the game's inception, and though stardock has made efforts to address the issues they are still very present. That being said, you can still enjoy a small game with a few friends for many hours often until any issues arise.
