Graphics: NASA computer required. Good luck running this on low-end machines.
Storytelling: Nolan would be jealous
Gameplay: More gripping than any AAA title ever made
Music: The sirens of the seas would be mesmerized
Difficulty: It's the Dark Souls of number-and-ball based games.

Additional Comments: managed to beat and break the game to the point where it crashed on my second run due to the number going infinite. best 5 bucks I've spent in a while for some brainless fun. 10/10

In its current state, it feels like a step back from the previous games. There's less control over what your cities can do, trade routes are now exclusively for goods, trading goods or money in negotiations no longer exists, plus the UI is horrible.

I can't recommend this in its current state. Hopefully fixes will be coming soon.

Uncharted/Tomb Raider + Thief + Deus Ex Human Revolution with an Indiana Jones skin. Fantastic game so far and one of the best looking/performing games this generation.

A unique blend between God of War (2018), Jedi: Fallen Order/Survivor, Dark Souls, Devil May Cry, and Kirby.

Bosses like Dark Souls, open-zone like GoW/J:FO/J:S, combat similar to DMC, and enemy transformations like Kirby.

Arguably one of the best releases this year and the game is visually stunning. Aside from a few technical glitches here and there, it's phenomenal.

9/10 - must play. GOTY material.

Early Access Review
Supergiant really took the entire concept of "killing time" too seriously and accidentally created yet another banger of a game.

Playing poker has never been more fun.

Balatro is a prime example of a GOOD roguelike and also shows that you don't need great visuals to be a great game. The mechanics of the game should be the driving factor.

The mechanics in Balatro are so simple and so addicting, every hand is "just one more game..." because of how insanely well crafted everything is in this game. Although sometimes the RNG can be really annoying but hey, that's the name of the game.

If this was ever ported to mobile, this is all I'd be doing all day. Best indie game I've played since Hades.

Online is still broken on PC months after launch, major input lag offline, incorrect frames for moves on characters. Straight up a half-assed (yet very beautiful) game. I hate what WB has done to this game.

Incredibly broken at launch with no fixes but they're SO fast to incorporate microtransactions in the form of "Seasonal Fatalities" that cost 12 dollars and skins that cost 10 dollars and voice lines for PAID DLC characters that cost 10 dollars...wtf is WB thinking?!?! this is not a F2P title!! why the FCK are there microtransactions in a full 70 dollar game - and why is there microtransaction options for PAID DLC characters?!

Absolutely avoid MK1 at all costs until the game is fixed and do not fall for the microtransactions

The game crashes so much on Jedha it felt like it was designed by the Empire itself. Can't get past a section because it consistently crashes.

But seriously, releasing an unfinished game and charging 70 dollars for it is a fckng scam.

Will update this review once this is fixed - as of right now, it's basically unplayable.

Edit - So turns out that raytracing is broken in this game. I'm playing at 4k max settings on a 4090 and every time I turn raytracing on it crashes without fail. Turning it off allowed the game to function as intended, but it still has insane frame drops on certain maps. Keeping it as not-recommended until the game is in proper working order.

Edit 2: After all the patches, the game is finally playable again and it's fantastic now.
