Perfectly addictive. Perfectly simple. Turn off your brain for half an hour and kill some monsters, you won't regret it.

Resident Evil 7 perfectly captures the spirit of the survival horror genre that was present in the earlier titles in the series, but improves upon the intensity of the horror by incorporating a visceral first person perspective. While the gameplay has its ups and downs, the overall experience is easily at least an 8/10 for me, and I highly recommend it for anybody who has any interest in horror whatsoever.

Base building/roguelite game with a bit more emphasis and depth placed in the base building aspect. This game is beautifully crafted and manages to provide a considerable amount of content without overstaying its welcome. 10/10

Hades is an outstanding example of the potential the roguelite genre holds. I was initially unsure if I would enjoy the overarching character progression that takes place after each run, but the way Hades implements this mechanic adds to the game rather than detracting from it. While your character gets stronger with each run, so do your enemies. The further you get the harder the earlier bosses become and while roguelite/roguelike veterans shouldn't have too much difficulty progressing, there is enough of a challenge to make gameplay engaging for both old and new players of the genre. Not only does Hades have a perfectly executed gameplay loop, but every other aspect (art, music, voice acting, story) goes above and beyond any other game in the genre. Considering there is so much content past its first completion, I am excited to say that I won't be done with this game anytime soon.

Enter the Gungeon is a roguelike that sticks to its theme of weaponry in the most creative sense possible. It includes fast bullet hell gameplay while traversing a dungeon or "gungeon" that is filled with thousands of pop culture references, bullets that shoot guns, bullet themed enemies, and many more uniquely wacky items and NPCs. With every run feeling different from the last, it offers dozens of hours of playtime and has secrets and extra modes galore to keep you busy. If you're a fan of roguelike gameplay and have yet to give Gungeon a chance, you're missing out on a one of a kind experience.

Early Access Review
Littlewood is a game where you build a small town in the peaceful aftermath of your character's journey to save the world. Now that the world is saved, all the tasks left are relaxing and give a real sense of building a community around your little town.

It plays similarly to Stardew Valley, but distinguishes itself by eliminating time limitations and allowing you to build and manipulate every aspect of your town. It's a great game for relaxing while being engaging enough to play more attentively as well. If you love peaceful town building sims this is a perfect game for you

Life is Strange is a clever spin on the story-based adventure game format that forces players into an emotional roller coaster that cannot be experienced in any other medium.
