lucky this game is literal crack or I'd be WAY more mad about the performance issues

big numbers make brain go brrrrrr

After spending hundreds of hours in both the original Binding of Isaac and it's successor Rebirth; it is safe to say that this is not only one of my favourite rogue-likes of all time, but one of my favourite games of all time.

Literally hundreds of hours of time and fun can be spent in this game; with a randomly seeded dungeon that spans multiple floors, hundred upon hundreds of items that augment the way your weapon (which are tears you shoot at deformed mosnters (pretty cool, right?)) works and your character looks, and a fantastic 16-bit art style that although nowadays it's quite a played out look for your run-of-the-mill indie game, is beautifully crafted by the team at Nicalis.

If you do somehow get tired of the regular runs of the game there are dozens of seeds you can set before each game, which work sort of like the cheat codes in the Grand Theft Auto series. Codes which for instance can add permanent curses to your run to make the game that bit harder, or a god mode to blast through the game at difficlty's expense. There is also a daily run which you can compete against 100's of players to try and perfect your score and maybe one day dream to be anywhere near the top of the leaderboards.

If you're looking for an introduction to the rogue-like genre or maybe you're a seasoned veteran of this type of game, I absolutely implore you to get this game. I've definitely had my money's worth of fun with this title and I have no doubt that you will too.
