Game delivers and plays like shown. Not many major bugs on release which was super nice, the only one I ran across was if the non-host player in co-op buys a worker the clipboard would bug out.

It's the same exact game as GTA Online. Worse frames, literally can't see anywhere where the game looks better and touching settings does nothing for my frame rates sitting at ~80 on an R7 5800x and 3070ti. Audio sounds the same, loading times don't feel different still took me like 3 minutes to load in on an ssd.

As someone who has spent over a decade and 10k hours playing this game, with it's spiral downhill in the recent years I can't recommend anyone play it anymore. Jagex doesn't treat any of their playerbase with respect and is just fighting to monetize as much of the game as possible. There was a survey on removing mtx from the game and increasing membership prices to counteract the revenue loss which the community heavily voted they would support, but Jagex with this information decided to increase membership prices and changed nothing about the mtx inflation the game has. Now a few months later Jagex releases another survey about increasing membership prices and all around the board adding more monetization such as paid plugins (This stuff is free on osrs - RuneLite), 'cheaper membership with ads' (Basically the same price as current membership), increasing current 'regular' membership by ~45-50%, and a few more smaller monetization methods such as better player support (nonexistent for the past decade).

Super fun game for the competitive player. Could definitely be the next fps esports game if the devs keep working on it. Balancing is needed if you want to enjoy the game playing as certain classes (light requires you to be very good to pilot), but overall super fun and super unique with amazing feeling gunplay.

So many people complained about the gunplay but having travel time and requiring good aim is a really nice mechanic. I just hope they add more skill expression to the heavy class as running around with the auto shotty and rocket launcher isn't that interactive against lights.


I originally wrote this review on the release of the game and recently tried it again in February of 2025. This game has gotten worse and really isn't worth playing if you like any variability, the only viable class is medium, light does too little damage for how squishy it is and the heavy class is too slow while the medium class has literally everything and quick healing ontop of it. A timmy playing medium or heavy is just as scary as an elite level aimer on light with how big of a peashooter the light guns are to the fact that light vs light 1v1s often go into 2nd magazine fights and they're 150 hp compared to the 250 medium have...

audios horrible cant even hear my car on max volume no way to pitch camera up and down and moving the camera even a tiny bit sideways of the car the whole audio of the car goes away loading takes way too long took 30 minutes in the loading screen in 80 minutes of gameplay and the driving is even worse than fh4 was and on top of all of that it takes over 4 hours to even unlock online mode
