Ark is patchy, irritating, addictive and buggy as all hell and yet somehow, I cannot say I've ever been happier to spend money on a computer game. There is just nothing like Ark out there and believe me, I've tried. Ark Asylum 10x unofficial cluster has been my home for nearly five years and I don't see it changing any time soon.

I rarely try new games and usually do my research beforehand. CS:GO is fun against bots but you will quickly be dissuaded from playing the game in live matches because cheating in paid gameplay is basically so common that people are more shocked if there AREN'T cheaters in a match than if there are... and we're not even talking competitive, just the basic paid premium accounts. Some pretend they are "smurfs" not cheats (as they like to call themselves) but basically it's a way of tricking the system to pair you with people a lot less experienced. Think of it like your 20yo soldier brother beating you down when you're 6 and you'll have a pretty decent idea what kinda people they are. (It's cheating whichever way you look at it).

The VERY few people that stick with it WITHOUT cheats soon become tempted to cheat if only because the argument becomes VERY strong "well if everyone else is cheating how else can I get a competitive game" and so the cycle continues. The manufacturers of the game ensure that the cheating continues by ensuring that the more reports you make, the less seriously you are taken so even when you catch people blatantly following others through walls or prefiring corners repeatedly, you daren't ACTUALLY report them because your account gets marked down for it.

Annoyingly, it IS addictive and I must confess to playing it still EVEN with the knowledge that I'm playing with and against cheats but I must admit while distracting, it takes all the enjoyment out of the game knowing that there will almost always be someone with 4 times the kills of everyone else just because they just "happen to be really lucky yeah"..... yeah. I'm not bitter, at all. Much.

Okay so it's not a big deal, it's hardly crime of the century but yeah I paid for it and I don't want to have to give in and install wall hacks and aimbots to simply compete on a normal level. I know from the other games that I play what my actual level is and no, I'm not a good player... but I still know a cheating bar steward when I see one ;)
