I came across this game by accident, since I played similar games like RUST, Hurtworld, Ark etc. While I can appreciate a game with a steep learning curve, I think after 40 years of playing games I should be able to get there pretty quick.

Subsistence is by far and without a doubt, one of the worst games I have come across in some time. While it is a survival game, it is just stupid and ridiculous. Harvesting anything you need to survive just the first couple days is almost impossible. The pistol seems to fire rubber bullets as they do not take down ANY of the HUNDREDS of predators you run into. Literally every 100 feet there is a bear or wolf or mountain lion to kill you. Your hatchet has little to no affect and the bullets are useless. The animal basically runs up and instant kills you. When they kill you they level up and are harder to take down than the impossible they already were.

Now you respawn with just a hatchet again and 1500+ meters from your body. So you run frantically trying to get back to your body, zig zagging between the wolves and bears and run out of stamina long before you get to your body. You climb on top of a large rock to rest and then a bear comes at you right THROUGH that boulder and instant kills you. Rinse and repeat. Now you have died about 5 times you have to look at all the skulls in the distance to determine which is about to despawn and hope to get there without dying and before the sun sets. Because if the sun goes down and you dont have the mats farmed again to build a fire, you freeze to death during the night.

Dont bother trying to catch a rabbit to eat. If you chase them they actually run towards bears or wolves so you will be attacked. If youre lucky to hit them with the gun, usually takes at least 2 bullets. Run up to collect your kill, get killed by a wolf.

Chickens? Nope! These arent acutally chickens, they are road runners with unlimited sprint. You cant whack them with your hatchet, you have to get lucky and corner them and hit the E key real quick to pick them up. If you dont do anything with them, they die pretty quick in your inventory.

Resources? Takes a while to learn to spot all the fiber you need to use to craft things. All the crafting you do is slow as hell, but at least you can queue up a bunch of things while youre running around and running for your life.

Stupid loot boxes just randomly spawn all over the map. Some need lock picks to open. Never did get around to figuring how how/where to get a lock pick.

Dont drink the water, youll be poisoned and die.

Nothing about this game makes sense, it is all a bunch of random crap thrown into a square map that is fenced off at the borders. This game is not even alpha material, still easily pre-alpha at best. If you want to play a game where all you do is run around and die and scream WTF constantly, than this is the game for you. It is nothing but an infuriating cluster f*ck of a game and really should not be sold on Steam.

I have requested a refund after trying really hard to like this game. I can't, it is just horrible.

Game is now completely dead. Developers seem to have abandoned this game as well. Their forums are over run with spam bots. Devs no longer respond.

Avoid this game, save your money.

CtD Simulator 2017 - very buggy game, poorly optimized and just another obvious cash grab from Activision. Once again no dedicated servers. Once again, another CoD game I will not be buying. If you bought this game, you are part of the problem.

Long story short Splash Damage lied and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ us. But what should you expect from the company that brought us that dead game called Brink?

I supported this game originally as a founder, and yes got a free t-shirt as a result. However Dirtybomb has devolved into just another crappy FPS. There is nothing special about this game. We were lead to believe for many years we would be able to host this game with our own servers. That is now not the case. We could with ET and Brink!

In all honesty, even F2P is too much for this game. I do not recommend it, and hope it just dies off and fades away like Brink did.

Now back to go play some Enemy Territory! :)

Gets worse with each update. Really wish I could get a refund for this game and that is not something I say often.

Can't recommend this game at this time. As we are not able to host our own servers I cant really say this is a clan type friendly game. They have providers for the game, that are low quality GSP's. This makes me feel that the developers really are not serious about this game. As it stands, I regret my purchase and trying to support developers that do not support us.

I recommend you pass on this game.

Game server browser is broken and only shows one server of all those that are online. Game is dead and has been since shortly after release. If you buy this game, even on sale, you will regret your purchase.

**WARNING**

There is no multiplayer for this game. Gamespy killed it just like so many other games. I was not even able to create a listen server locally to host a server for directy connect. This game for all intents and purposes is single player only.

Primal Carnage Extinction is a spinoff the original Primal Carnage that is no longer being developed. While the concept of this game is great, it does only appeal to a small niche market of players. Over the last several months I have done my best to support this game as much as I can. Alas it has gotten to a point where I have pretty much lost faith in Circle 5 to deliver a game worthy of the name.

Game is in PEA and will be there for some time. PEA = Perpetual Early Access. C5 consistently miss all their marks for a timeline they setup for completion. When game was originally released as EA, it was slated to take about 45-60 days reach completion and be a full release. This time has long come and gone and game really looks no closer to being completed. As such, I am now referring to the game state as PEA.

Pros:
• Fun game and great concept (Humans vs Dinosaurs)
• Good price point for a game of this caliber

Cons:
• Game is still VERY buggy as dev's try to figure out the version of Unreal they are using
• Game is a massive headache for host
• A pain to update - Each update you have to re-edit your server config
• Server will not run as a service
• Steam is required to be running for a server to appear in browser
• No anti cheat, no proper working rcon, no proper server logging for stats
• MOTD is a joke
• Loot system and cosmetic items that have ruined the game
• Most of community is toxic and only care about loot and not playing game
• Q&A department fail miserably and do not properly test updates being released

I could easily continue on. Bottom line the cons far out weigh the pros for this game, and I honestly do not see it getting better in the near future. For this reason I honestly can not recommend buying this game at this time.

As this game no longer works due to Gamespy closing, you are advised NOT to purchase this game. Even at 75% off it is to much for a game that no longer works.
