Max Payne 3 replaces the mobsters of the first two games with a bunch of people who don't speak english. I can shoot a bunch of guys who don't speak english in any game. I want to hear guys talking about naming their guns and what Frankie says, and Max Payne 3 does not deliver.

I stopped playing when Max, who is now a bodyguard, decides to leave the guy he is guarding in his own office while the building is attacked.

It does have nice-looking blood effects.

I played through this with a partner and had a lot of fun. Slightly less janky than the first Dead Island and with better quests. I think the single-player experience would be less satisfying, and having a full complement of 4 players is likely to delay you.

Had some issues with losing thrown weapons, so playing someone besides Logan is a good idea.

Much more amazing than the advertising would have you believe. Best not to research it.
