I love the strategy genre, especially turn based. I started with chess when I was 4, and immediately fell in love with the brain power involved with it. Move to a few years later, and I get my first turn based strategy game for the computer, Civ 4. Now, one of the reasons why I didn't have more was sadly, I had a Mac desktop. So I ended up playing Civ all the time.

And it NEVER got old. I put a few thousand hours in on it, and when a new Civ 4 expansion disc came out, I begged my parents to get it for me.

Fast forward a few more years, and I hear of Civ 5, and I went through the roof with excitement, and it paid off. While it will most likely not reach the same number of hours as my Civ 4 disc any time soon, that's merely because I have so many games now. Besides, that "One more turn" button has added at least 50 hours to my Civ 5 time alone.
