Great premise, OK execution
I think certain words are very hard to guess, especially ones that represent more abstract concepts
More hints would be nice because you can get stuck often

Cool idea, great art, neat integration of story and mechanics. But the gameplay loop itself is too long and boring for me. It's an semi-idle RPG where you choose a pool of tiles and can place tiles that give you minor buffs or spawn certain enemies. There is some depth to choosing tiles to bring and tile placement, but honestly not a lot.

You will be gated by your current meta progression and the meta progression is very slow, too slow to keep the midgame interesting. I'm at 10 hours and I feel like there's nothing interesting left for me to unlock, just stat buffs or tiles I don't want. I've heard a first playthrough is 30+ hours. This game may be for you but it really was not for me.

Probably the one of the best detective / deductive reasoning games out there. Like Outer Wilds levels good. There's no internal dialogue to tell you where to go, what to think, what happened, etc. It's just you, unraveling the mystery by witnessing the fates of the people on the Obra Dinn, and deducing what may have really happened. It really embraces "show, don't tell" and that's what makes it so incredible.

very solid roguelike deckbuilder with a unique battle system and lil guys.

also i really appreciate the intuitive UI design.

fun but progression is very slow. and i mean like 3 hours in, i am replaying the same planet maybe 10 times to unlock the next one, and i don't anticipate it getting any quicker in the future.

i also dont like how you have to unlock unlimited mode and timed mode for each planet through this way, would much rather them be unlocked by default / after 1 replay / at least much quicker.

the visuals are great though and i really like co-op, i dont know any other co-op cooking games that play like the papa's games and they executed it pretty well.

overall its fun and i would recommend it just for co-op alone. its a very new game with planned free updates soon so i hope they can add some QoL updates too.
