I'm addicted to the relaxation this game gives me. Everything is so colourful, bright and shiny so the payoff is immense when you've cleaned something.
The water effects look really realistic.
There's a funny little story that plays out in the instant messages while you clean It isn't intrusive and adds another layer of intrigue to this game. It would have been easy for the developers to not have included a story, but I've very glad they did. I feel like a resident of Muckingham!
I'm grateful for the addition of various features to alleviate the symptoms of motion-sickness that I suffer from with most games. It's great that they added multiplayer mode since it's fun to play casually with friends while we chat and catch up.
I'm interested to hear the results of the Oxford wellness study. This is one of the most satisfying games out there.

Simple but fun game with a few puzzle elements for variety. Good for all ages.

The game's greatest strength is the story, told with a chuckle-worthy jokes and a penchant for meta humour. A bunch of sassy, lively characters paint the picture of a busy town torn apart (literally) by a plague of holes.

It has a great visual style, somewhere between Untitled Goose Game and Night In The Woods. All the items are clear to understand, but if you wanted to know more about each, the handy Trashopedia is there for your reference.

Completed in around two hours, including most achievements. Has a small amount of replay value if you want to scrape up those last few achievements. A great way to spend an afternoon.

Quack!

Stardew Valley is the gaming equivalent to the deluxe hot chocolate Ned Flanders made for Bart Simpson. Warm, comforting and gets better with every addition.

Overall visual style is clear, easy to interpret and downright beautiful, which can sometimes be difficult to achieve in pixel games.

The characters are a delight, even the troubled ones. It makes me feel fulfilled when I can help them out. I'm proud to be a part of their community! The best part of my day is surprising Maru with strawberries!

There's always something to do; if you feel like it. No pressure here for achievements or objectives. Spend a day fishing, digging in the mines or foraging in the forest. Personally, I can't get the hang of fishing whatsoever... That's my only issue with this title and that's surely user error!

As much fun as I was having on my own, co-op elevated my enjoyment by being able to play along with my partner. It feels amazing to be sharing our lives together on the farm (since we live long-distance), even if those lives are in a computer game.

I've put a lot of time into this game and there will certainly be a LOT more. I've barely scratched the surface of all the secrets and surprises. Will you find them before I do? Pick up Stardew Valley and give it a whirl.
