Foxhole is a very promising game with a perfect blend between action and strategy.

It's a top-down MMO shooter with a lot of focus on strategy. Staying ahead of your enemy is a key part in winning a war in this game, be it through better managing your army through a great display of leadership or making sure said army is properly supplied with weaponry, vehicles and other equipment. Playing the logistic role is just as, if not more important than the infantry role.

While one may shine playing as one role, you will always find yourself in situations where you feel the need to play another. The role-shifting is an aspect of this game that I love. Playing on the front you will find yourself needing to build defensive structures as you or the enemy siege. If you're not the one building you're either supplying the materials with which your teammates are building or you're protecting those who build.

I've found that the community is very friendly and positive. On the rare ocassion you will find a griefer, who most of the time will be kicked from the game immediately. Other than that you will sometimes run into people who steal your truck or other vehicle of choice, but for the most part I've found that the people who do that are new players not realizing how easy it actually is to get one for yourself. I cannot stress enough how friendly and cooperative the players I've met are, even enemies are friendly for the most parts. Some of my favorite moments in the game have been me chatting up the enemy from the other side of a wall.

Seeing as the game is still in early access, I believe that this game will go very far based on the fun times and great gameplay that is to be had in the game at this early stage. I can't wait for its full release, having no doubt at all that I will by then have played hundreds of hours already.

Solid 5/7. Best game I've bought this year and gameplay-wise probably the best game I've played in the last 4 years.
