I haven't played the original but I loved the dev's cohost posts so I picked it up. Gorgeous game (though it does make my fairly powerful gpu weep), the visuals and the music make it an almost mditative experience which works great with the slower pace of the puzzles. I haven't felt frustrated yet – which is all to easy to happen in physics-based games – and I'm looking forward to the harder levels

If you like fast-paced shooters with a banger soundtrack that make you feel like a badass, this game is for you. I love racing S-Ranks and doing the optional challenges

If you like the Momodora series this is more of the same but improving on every aspect. If you like metroidvanias at all you will have a good time.

The art is gorgeous, the music sets the mood perfectly, the combat system is more fun and dynamic than ever with the sigils letting you customize yout playstyle and become quite powerful with the right combination of them. The story is nice but the characters, including some recurring ones are the highlight narratively. There's also some platforming puzzles for optional stuff strewn in that are a very fun addition, just be aware that you get a temporary ability that also buffs your jump later on in the game so if you get stuck on one it might be worth coming back later.

I have some minor issues with the story hinting at some things that ultimately don't happen – seeing as this is supposed to be the end of the series there obviously won't be a big setup for a sequel.

I've still got to try the arrange mode which seems to be doing a bit more than just shuffling items around and there's a boss challenge mode that lets you try and fight the bosses and harder versions of them as fast as possible.

You want lots of snakes so you can make lots of money but lots of snakes are hard to fight but you can only upgrade your weapons if you fight lots of snakes and… oh, I died again. Plays beautifully on the Steam Deck, there's already a community input preset

Edit: The game is getting even better with free updates adding more snakes and more ways to die because of your own hubris

This is how you remake a game that does not need a remake. Note that there's some graphical issues at certain settings, check Digital Foundry's optimized settings video

The best way to learn about your Steam Deck's inputs, while also being a fun vignette in the Portal universe
