The game has really good visuals and an interesting interrogation gimmick whenever the curse powers are involved. I like the characters and overall spooky atmosphere. The story is good, it has some nice twists, but the ending kinda sucks.

It is hidden by backtracking all the way through one of the initial chapters, and this isn't indicated anywhere, in fact the game goes out of its way to obfuscate it by naming one of the random endings "Conclusion" despite not being the real ending, so I bet most players just closed their game right there.

Hell, the Storyteller even seems to know that it's bad and tells you to just headcanon your own ending if you don't like it... mine is Harue's, I consider it better than the real one, she did nothing wrong.

Despite fumbling its ending, I'd still recommend this game if you're looking for a spooky VN to play for about 10 hours, I had fun.

Gameplay wise, this is one of the best JRPG-like on the market. I really like the way you have to execute your combos yourself, and the game is at the just right level of difficulty where the bosses aren't too hard but they're not pushovers either. It's also one of the best looking ones, it's all in high quality pixel art and the particle effects and lighting don't clash with the overall artstyle (looking at you octopath traveler). The music is also pretty good.
However, the story and characters in this game are just... bland. Most of the story is spent meat riding Garl, an obvious self-insert for whoever wrote it. The other characters have literally no personality, and the story itself is very forgettable.

In short, if you mostly care about the gameplay, art, and music, get this game. If you're a story kind of guy, there are better jrpgs.

I've been quite enjoying this game, the devs clearly put their soul into it, Catherine is my wife. The korean dub is surprisingly good, too. It's a pretty simple but enjoyable roguelike.
If you're having trouble clearing your bosses, I suggest not activating a bunch of your core chargers up until you've 100% the rest of the stage (they don't despawn). This way, you'll reach the boss in core connect state with a level 2-3 drone, basically doubling your damage output.

The last time this game has had a good banlist is when they banned Halqifibrax in 2022.

This game is pretty much an interactive TV show where you try to guess who dun it and how. As far as FMV goes, it's about as good as it gets. It does its best to make the experience as enjoyable as possible - it's filmed beautifully, gives you lots of hints so you can actually guess what happened , sleek UI, fantastic OST, and most of all, a good plot.

The main issue with this game is that out of its six chapters, half of them aren't particularly enjoyable. Despite being technically crucial to the plot, they feel like filler. They're not bad, but not particularly compelling either. It made me feel like I was wasting my time, and this review would most likely be negative if I stopped there.

However, the last two chapters of the game changed my mind about this game. Everything fits together nicely, and it's quite rewarding. Chapter 5 in particular includes a pretty good escape room puzzle, and made me wonder why the other chapters in this game couldn't have something like that, instead of just mindlessly clicking on hints. I liked the finale a lot, but your mileage may vary, some supernatural stuff happens.

TL; DR
I recommend this game if you want to play a "guess the culprit" show for 10 hours of so, with the second half being really good and the rest being alright at best.
As for pricing, I wouldn't say it's worth 50$, but it's definitely worth it on a sale. If you're looking for a better alternative in the same vein, play Shibuya Scramble, as it's the better game.

This is the very first dungeon crawler I've played, and I've liked it a lot. The game has a ton of content and a sizeable postgame section, and it's quite atypical from your average RPG. You will quickly learn that just grinding levels is borderline useless and your time would be better spent on a better strategy, formation, or gear. What I like about it the most is the flexibility of the skill system, no class is truly useless and each one of them can be specialized in a lot of different aspects.
The story isn't afraid to touch morbid themes, and so do the characters, you never really know what to expect from the story. Exploration is also quite fun once you unlock the skills to just smash walls and teleport around the dungeon.
Overall, it's a nice RPG, even if it definitely has some unfair bosses, especially in the postgame. Speaking of which, one of them will literally wipe your party by crushing it under her massive tits, so that's something.

While I might have coomed to the copious amount of pixel art monstergirls... this game still sucks.

The "difficulty" relies more in frustrating the player rather than the game actually being hard, with limited items, limited gear, limited spells, limited movement, limited speed... I could go on, you get it. Explore the map , waste most of your items and barely survive only to get some "legendary item" that sucks balls except for one specific scenario, and maybe a couple weapons that feel no different from one another.
The save system is janky and makes no sense, the story is not existent, but not like I cared at this point.
I've considered resetting the game to a lower difficulty, but do I want to start over and go through all that again? Hell no.

The devs just... disappeared after the game released, and they don't seem to be fixing anything or respond to feedback. The one saving point of this game is the art, but then again... you don't need to play the game to see that. What a waste...

TL;DR This game is a chore to play, and the only good thing about it are the pixel monstergirls. Just play Echidna Wars if you want that stuff.

This is obviously an AC inspired game. But is it a -good- one?
I'd say it is. It has a good amount of things to do every day, the npcs have an actual personality, and there's decent customization for your character (except for some reason you are a girl by default and you can't change it... why???), while keeping itself unique.

However, if you like this kind of game for the decorating aspect, I'd not recommend it.
Since most of the daily quests are about finding hidden objects on the map, the island HAS to be very crowded, or it would be too easy. As a result, there will be little actual space to put the furniture you want on, in a satisfying manner. Not that you will want to, anyway. Said furniture can also be detrimental to your flower/bird/deer farms, expensive, there's only a handful to buy every day (good luck on making a full set), and you don't have much free inventory space to begin with, even by expanding it. If you change your mind, moving it all is a pain.

Overall, I'd still recommend the game. I'm having a good time with it and there's stuff to do every day, and I don't care much about decorating the island. But please let me change my character to a man.

MAMIYA is a dark story about a group of 4 messed up men dealing with the death of their friend Natsume. Mamiya is their own personal tulpa, which takes a different appearance depending on the person. For example, the playboy's version of Mamiya is a loli nurse (based).

It is separated in 3 main parts, the first is basically just a prologue, the second lets you pick a route, and the third is mainly related to the origins of Mamiya and by far the best part. The VN has some very homoerotic moments (mainly in the second part), but if you're like me and are not interested in those, it does also have an interesting plot with some nice twists here and there.
Without spoiling it, the ending was pretty disappointing, basically a cliffhanger for the next game/DLC/Update? Doomsday Dreams. I wouldn't say it ruined the whole game, but still it had to be mentioned.

Tierlist:

Morichika > Ryou >>>>>>>>> Minato > actual trash > Suou (what the ♥♥♥♥ is wrong with him???)

Overall, I think it's alright. While the occasional BL pandering wasn't my taste, I'd still recommend it on a sale if you want to read something different.
