(IF YOU HAVE TRIGGERS TO VIOLENCE OR GORE, THEN MOST OF THE CONTENT OF THIS PRODUCT IS NOT FOR YOU...BRIEF AS IT MAY BE.)

This is something I have delayed in doing for quite some time...as in years. It isn't because I didn't want to write it, just that I feel NO words could even begin to describe or give justice to such an amazeballs project!!!

OATS studios is the brainchild of the Blomkamps and their team, bringing you shorts and tidbits that could eventually be turned into actual productions or series. Within the confines of this OATS Studios you will find humor (dark), drama, intrigue, sci-fi, tech, other beings, horror, psychological, questions of the soul, and SOOO much more.

They are very brief, so they will not take long to view all of them. (Some of them even contain well known actresses/ors.) No longer can you purchase the content that was sold as a DLC and meant for small support for the production, however, you can still watch all the episodes.

It is unfortunate there have not been any additional episodes to anything, or new ones, since I was last in here. However, I don't believe that means they are not working on new projects. (I see one or two immediate reviews that mention there is a Netflix series, they do not state however which of these episodes here was created into a series or movie.)

I highly recommend to everyone taking a small bit of time to invest in watching these amazing installments!! You can even break them up in bits, since there are various episodes so... NO EXCUSES!!!

From the makers of To the Moon, comes a tale about a boy, his bird, and the connection between them. This is a short one. (I clocked in at just over an hour.) It is also not intended to necessarily be a game, but more of an interactive experience. There is no narration nor words on the screen. And yet I found myself drawn in at how rich the story of this one is. The animations are simplistic, yet they are beautiful. Once in awhile it requires you to participate by doing this action or that, but for the most part you just watch as the story unfolds and carries you along for the ride, just like the paper airplane in the trailer. If you are like me, and enjoy atmospheric games and are looking for an experience similar to its "counter-part" To the Moon, then I highly recommend giving this one a glance. You will not regret it and being that it is not too much of your time, it will enhance your spirit as well. I had picked this up on sale, however it is very reasonably priced just for the richness of the story.

I had so much fun finding out all the little hidden "mysteries" that this game has to offer. The narrator's interaction with each action by Stanley was quite clever. (I especially enjoyed his reactions when Stanley DOESN'T follow directions! ;P ) Even after I had reached all the achievements, I found myself drawn to find all the rest of the endings that are possible here. (Except for one...It is about four hours to reach it and I admittedly just didn't have the patience!! lol) Each twist and turn gives you random comments from the narrator and I reveled in each new discovery. The storyline is simplistic, but well written. You play as the character, Stanley, who is the only character in the game. (Unless you include the narrator, which I suppose he COULD be considered one as well.) Your goal is to try and leave this empty, and evidently abandoned, office building. It seems as if all your co-workers have disappeared and you are aiming to find some answers while making your way through the the hallways and depths of this forboding menace of what feels like the walls closing in of a silent prison, in a metaphorical sense that is. I found this such an enjoyable and clever little game I wouldn't mind someday going back and playing it again, even just for the comedic interactions of the narrator. I picked it up during a sale, but it is reasonably priced for the value of the experience of it.

This is an adorable point and click with a female protagonist. The art is simplistic and fantastic. A little girl goes out into the wilderness (of her closet. lol) to retrieve her beloved Teddy. The puzzles are sometimes difficult, but not frustrating by any means. (Aaaand it has it achievements!!) It is a shorter game, so it is easy to get into. I highly recommend adding this delightful litte treasure to your Steam library!

"Hidden Mysteries: Civil War" is a short little hidden object game. While I do overall give a thumbs up for this game, I do feel some of the historical things should be tweaked. (But in my opinion our very own history books need A LOT more tweaking than this game.) I found the puzzles challenging, but not frustrating by any means. Visually the pictures are pleasing to interact with, as well. I played it more for the puzzles than the history that went with it. (I went in aware that I would probably not be getting any sort of a history lesson...The game would have had to go WAY more in depth to add to my knowledge, let alone my boyfriend's extensive knowledge. lol) If you like hidden object puzzles, then I recommend picking up this quick little game to pass the time.

First and foremost, I would like to state what a clever game this is. This is a text game, but also a choose-your-own adventure of sorts. You are given 3 choices each turn, some of them with no great effect on the next outcome. However, the choices are more often than not just as amusing as the outcomes of them. (There are even some gems in there for you sci-fi fans like myself...If you are one, you DEFINITELY should check this one out!! ;) . ) For you achievement hunters: Make sure to do all four quests first...There is one guide on the achievements, and this was the main advice I can share without spoiling anything more. There are some little tidbits and sprinkling of humor throughout the game that are sure to make everyone smile. The writers have done a brilliant job, in my personal opinion, of tying things together nicely and keeping the reader interested. This game is sure to give you the satisfaction of playing a short game, while entertaining you at the same time. Big thumbs up for the not so "Impossible Quest"!! :) :) :)

To the Moon is a very short game about a company who fulfills one last wish of our loved ones before they pass on. In a short amount of time not only do you learn about some deep and surprising facts of the character who is dying, but also about the people who are trying to guide him through his final moments and complete his dying wish. This game also comes complete with two mini games!! :) (*spoiler alert* One of the mini games also has a fun and quite honestly challenging mini game within it.) My suggestion is to be sure to play the main game first, as the content within the mini games will not make as much sense. (ESPECIALLY the second one!) I really hope that many others will discover this quaint and adorable game. Most of it is text novel, with some point and click along the way. It is also currently as I write this on sale for 75% off. Although it is very much worth, in my opinion that is, the full price. So what are you waiting for??....Go get yourself a copy today! :))

~~*NOTE* I have intentionally left out many details of the game as possible, so as to not spoil the wonderful experience of the game for others. (The game description and trailer of it explain more anyway. lol)

First and foremost, this is more of a walking simulator experience than a game. I very much enjoyed it however, as I really rather like games like these because even though they are typically very short, they have a message that will enhance your spirit. You play as a woman remembering a specific time in her childhood. Although it was riddled with trials and tribulations due to an unfit father, she manages to recollect some very happy and deeply touching times. I don't want to go into too much detail as to not spoil it for those who would be interested in it. I will say that should you make the decision to take a chance on this little gem you shall not be disappointed.

I am giving this game a "big thumbs up" because it is SOO much more than that...it was an experience. First off, being of where it was made from then I do have to admit I came into it biased already determined to like it. (My grandfather hails from Sweden. And parts of the game even contained folklore from a song sung to me as a child.) However I still gave it a fair and open mind to let myself decide truthfully how I felt about it. The graphics, for being simple as far as without a large color spectrum that is, were ABSOLUTELY amazing and fantastic!! The understated colors did not distract in the least in my opinion from game play or the story...they placed them strategically and where they would matter most I felt. The story line was very developed and complex. (When you get to the end then you will understand, and hopefully agree, why I say this.) I was in complete surprise at the ending and also quite moved and left with a feeling of "WOW!"...speechless, as it were. There are so many great things I could say about this game. I very much liked the feature that when you need to combine items or give them to an NPC then you cannot make a mistake as the game will not let you pursue the wrong scenario. The most of the puzzles were challenging, but not too much. You do have an option to have either the voice or to have captions. However certain small parts did require you to have just voice. (I am guessing these were the areas that only the Swedish language was available and the Steam profile for the game does state this so it was not a surprise in the least for me.) There were even a couple of more challenging achievements. Also, in addition, the price is very reasonable and I would have even paid twice as much...it is that good. So in closure, I highly reccomend this game to any one looking for unique game play, an original story (it is based on Swedish folklore), point and clicks, or even a calm and quicker game to experience.

Free to Play...a movie about Dota...but not. :)...So this was a wonderful insight into the lives of the people in the world competion...I enjoyed this so very much because a lot of people don't realize how much effort and your life goes into a competion like this...It was held in Germany...One kid came all the way from the US, his team mates being from around the world...So he had never had an opportunity to play near them...And it was amazing the skill he had considering what he had to play with...And I learned a lot of things such as how it can be a career in places such as China...Some teams were even more popular than sports teams!!...I highly recommend going through this movie...You will not regret it if you go into it with a postive attitude...And...it is after all..."Free to Play"...;))
