Its okay...

I'm not gonna lie, I got bored after 20 minutes, its pretty much dark and darker but think Diablo 3 or 4 if it was first person.
It definitely needs polishing, the enemy AI is a pretty janky. The knight mob will just stand there stunned if you keep hitting it and it wont do anything.

Im sure its gonna be fun for a lot of people but personally I think it needs more time before I revisit it unfortunately.

This game...

This game is awful... putting it straight.

- Overpriced DLC's and vehicles.
They're charging $100 for some vehicles and its pretty much a scam because it doesn't actually give you what you payed
for half the time.
- No NZ/AU Servers meaning I'm on 220-400 ping every single game...
Terrible shot reg and damage confirmation.
- Most games you get up tiered meaning you're versing vehicles that are far better than yours.
Not to mention the Battle Rating (BR). By this I mean that for example you're playing Germany, you're using a Tiger 2
thinking you're only going to be up against things from WW2.
No, you're going to be up against a lot of cold war vehicles that out perform you in speed, armour and reload speed.
In my mind it just doesn't make sense and its incredibly frustrating seeing a Tiger 2 get obliterated by something that was
made 30 years after WW2 and has a major advantage.
- The devs never listen to the community and are always finding a new way to milk money from the player base and not do anything to improve game play.

There's definitely more issues but putting all of that aside, the game is actually very fun. Its very realistic and very cinematic at times. I play it regularly and hate myself for it.
The game is an easy way to lose your mental sanity in record time.

I just wish the devs would listen and try to fix the things wrong instead of constantly dropping new DLC vehicles for absolutely outrageous prices just trying to milk the player base for all their worth.

Don't be mislead by the negative reviewers.

A lot of the complaints are that it is too difficult...
Its a souls game after all and if it were too easy it would not have that signature dopamine hit you get from a FromSoft souls like game.

In my opinion, after playing for about 5-8 hours, I have really only stayed in the starting area just searching and exploring everything there is at my own pace and there is so much more to uncover. The bosses aren't too difficult so far, some may 1-2 shot you but learning the move set is key. The starting map seems small at first but I think after getting through the first area it really opens up. As usual the environments looks incredible, there are many new enemies and bosses to fight, and the story so far is great.

I personally have not felt that this DLC is to a poor standard as many others believe, I really like the direction the game is going and really hope there will be more DLC's to come in the future. The quality is truely impressive, as expected.

If you enjoyed the base game maps, dungeons, bosses, enemies, stories... then I really think you will enjoy this one.

Game looks absolutely amazing, Its very fun and a refreshing take from the old ark. Some new QoL changes and some new items definitely make it more fun than old ark.
However, its in an incredibly bad state, constant crashing, fps drops, disconnecting errors.
Tried playing with my friend who had never played before only to be met with instant crashing and continuous server connection issues, a major turn off for any new player.
Developers are so lost in the sauce its genuinely scary, the game rarely gets updated to fix any bugs and when a new "update" does drop its just a community blog about players artwork and fancy mods people have made.
Its really a similar case with what we saw in the old ark where the devs vomit out the game and let it fester and ooze and slowly mould over time, its a real shame because there really is nothing like it on the market.
Snail Games USA have contributed hugely to the poor quality of the game by how they are so driven to make money with massive disregard to what the game really needs.
It feels like no one on the Wild Card/Snail Games team really gives damn about how the game performs and what the players think of it as long as they are making a profit.

Conclusion:
Game bad, terrible devs, poor performance, looks great but you need to have at least 12 4060s to run it, absolutely no regard for the players needs and opinions unless there's some money to be made from doing so.
