It's a good game, with the right mods. Without the mods, it's enjoyable for a weekend for that Warband nostalgia, then it'll just get samey. Mods break up that monotony.
The development for this game is really slow. I bought this game earlier on when it was £25.00 only a few years ago, deciding to come back when it had more content, and it's £42.99 now. Currently they have some semblance of a game, but after a few years... Why? I wouldn't pay £42.99 now, even for the few great mods out there (Banner Kings). If this game was picked up by a larger company, you'd have a once in a generation game. It was good of them to allow access to the .dll's, but it's ultimately useless for most people.
API documentation is wrong [apidoc.bannerlord.com], no modding tools apart from the map-maker.
So, if you want to make your own mod, go back in time before they changed it. Or spend hours searching through the references and variables at your own peril. Could have been an excellent game otherwise.

Bought the game, Rockstar Social Club locked me into my 15+ year old hotmail account I no longer have access too. Why? Think of a better system please you're a multi-million dollar company.
Don't tend to support DRM usually, but I sympathise with not wanting Eastern Europeans playing your games.

Enjoyed the game, it's an impressive tribute. A bit buggy in some places. The boss fights were enjoyable compared to actual Half Life games. I also thought it was really nice being able to control your own Overwatch team. Resistance with jump packs was a weird choice I found, as it doesn't really fit into the Half-Life universe at all, nor can it be explained within the confines of the game's timeline, I guess you could probably brush it off as Aperture tech, but anyhow, with it you feel like you've entered a Star Wars game. It definitely made the combat a lot more fun, and it's a nice touch. I suppose they did some of that with Half Life Alyx. I enjoyed the puzzles and I appreciated the dangerous placement of items to make the game a bit more fun and give it an immersive quality, the pulley collapsing really caught me off guard. Adding the prototype weapons was also a nice nod to Half Life fans. The monster chasing you around when you're solving puzzles was really cool and nerve-wracking, it gave it a horror game quality, that definitely should have been done in Portal or Half-Life.

I think more could have been done with the ending, for instance, a lot of it doesn't seem to make sense, how did the Advisor open up an interdimensional portal to get to the Borealis, or if they didn't open it, why and how was it even there in the first place? One combine elite against an advisor and somehow it was able to kill it with guns? Again, maybe it has something to do with the Borealis? It's a nice David v Goliath story, but I didn't understand it, I guess to me it feels too good to be true, which is probably why there are 2 endings. (But we know the G-Man ending is going to be the actual ending if you make another game).

Overall I'd give this game a 9/10, it certainly is a lot better than some of the swill that passes for games these days, but I just didn't like either of the endings, however, I didn't like the Half Life Episode endings either, so I guess you all did an extremely good job.

Bugs I found:
That slow pulley system lift thing was such a weird choice, and I think with how it moves it has to be bugged.
Wilson despawning on the load of a new map.
Wilson getting trapped in stairwells.
The advisor boss fight throwing props at you like they're balloons, apart from the cargo containers.
Cheese the boss at the end hiding underneath a map prop.
Prop physics going awry when crashing into them with the APC.
The lock on targetting system on the APC being really frustrating.
Vehicles suddenly taking off, clipping violently around the map, and killing you when using the Xen grenades.

YOU SETTLED A COLONY IN AFRICA AS A EUROPEAN COUNTRY STOP BEING SO PROBLEMATIC... YOUR EVIL WHITE COLONISER IS SHOWING. Paradox Interactive, you *CLAP* are *CLAP* cancelled.

If you slack around for 2 seconds you're gonna starve in the winter and lose half your villagers. Great game so far 10/10 add steam workshop support and let the community rip.

Active development, good community, fun gameplay. It's came a long way since launch and still can go so much further. There are optimisation issues but these have gotten a lot better since launch. Mic recommended but not required. If you're looking for a sign to buy it, this is it.
