I like the graphical style and some of the areas, but the gameplay is nonexistent. The areas areas are empty. The game is nothing more than getting lost in endless dull mazes and killing the most basic enemies with super shallow combat.

Visually excellent game that is otherwise a confusing mess.

The game should have never been more than a simple shooter. Now it has unnecessary inventory, unnecessary stamina system, boring gameplay, horrible level design and atrocious hub/saving system.

The first two skeleton enemies I encountered were blinking in and out of existence. They teleported behind me and stabbed me to death, which I believe is not the intended outcome. A real welcome first impression.

This game is not ready for release. And it probably never will be, since the core gameplay loop is not good.

If you liked The Witness, you'll probably like Taiji.

At best mediocre remake of Half-life. I appreciate the effort and loving craft, but the execution is just not very good.

The new soundtrack is downright horrible and does not fit. Enemies and animations feel weightless, and weapon damage seems random. Vortigaunts and bullsquids are ruined. The brutality of old effects and sounds is simply gone. The laboratory complex is now pitch black, so I hope you like having a flashlight on 24/7. It's also full of random knickknacks and pointless physics stuff in your way.

People are simply wrong if they feel the game is automatically better just for having higher fidelity graphics.

And then comes Xen. Xen is completely different game now. I'd compare the quality of it to Halo 3's Cortana level... but it takes like 3-4 hours. It is downright disgusting and horrible, with terrible first person platforming and electricity puzzles. It is worse than the original - which was at least short.

Nice small point'n click in the vein of Shadowgate. I liked the atmosphere, UI and graphical elements enough to play it a second time in three years. It's fast to travel through the whole world, so setbacks like a few instant deaths don't get annoying. There are two quite hard to find items or places which can stump you for a while, but most of the puzzles are pretty straight forward.

Speedrunning game for non-speedrunning people.

The story might be a meta joke - so bad you need to speedrun it by fast-forwarding.

Imitation of "Nightmare of Decay". Not a cheap carbon copy, but feels both tedious and sluggish really quick.

Too clunky, boring and amateurish execution.

Best horror boomer shooter. Rocking music, great weapons, top-notch atmosphere and good levels. You should play with Intruder mode enabled.

Excellent movement mechanics combined with the most tedious puzzles and gameplay.
