Personally, performance seems much better since the beta (but this seems to be as much luck of the draw as anything else, and it's not like I'm *happy* with it, just... not unhappy).

Performance aside, I think it's... fine? Good? Seikret is... kinda annoying but does come with some nice utility (two weapons, supply box in the field), the auto-walk to target monster / waypoint is... frankly pretty awful (there's probably a way to turn it off that I didn't find), the focus-attacks & wounding systems are... fine, the open-world-ification is fine (but would I prefer a hub & smaller area style system? yes), the story is fine outside of occasionally locking you into following the next step of the story when you might want to run outside and do a mining/gathering run.

I'm not entirely sure I like the new skill system, mostly because it feels like a straight nerf till we grind enough decos, which is... okay I guess, it's nice to have power progression, but locking real basic utility (prot polish / other, lesser sharpness management skills) behind decorations rng hell (and that have to compete with filling my weapon's slots with direct damage buffs), feels kinda bad.

A solid "I don't know if I'd recommend this above or below base world (and def wouldn't above base rise) but I would in fact recommend it" out of 10. (but world and rise have both get juicy discounts so maybe try one of those first if you're a real greenhorn, idk)

Early Access Review
this game is already hella big fun with not a lot of toys unlocked, and if NGU Idle was any indication, there's a lot more dumb toys to play with down the road

5/7 you probably don't need me to tell you if you're interested in playing this

An enjoyable twin-stick shooter, Project Aether has done the impossible (or improbable) of making me kinda want to try for scoring in a shmup (especially on my first playthrough), with the addition of wave based rankings a la DMC.

Blowing up half the screen with a chain of EMP explosions is immensely satisfying, as does dashing through a sheet of bullets. Playing on hard, a few stages in, I'd say the game is pretty well balanced, the game expects you to use it's mechanics, but compared to other shmups you may or may not be familiar with, the difficulty feels about right (importantly for me, it doesn't feel too easy, I desire at least some pain challenge)

I really like Destiny 2, it's a comfy game to play when you wanna shoot some mans.

The upswing in time-limited content with Shadowkeep/Year 3 makes me... slightly concerned, perhaps, but it's hard to argue that Vex Offensive is some masterpiece that I'm going to miss in a few weeks time, and while the Undying title is cool, it's nothing to lose sleep over. The only thing that's truly bad in the Season of the Undying was the Vanguard shader/emblem quest which went from the hilariously easy quests of Year 2 (something like play 10 strikes or completely 20 bounties or something) to grinding out some obnoxious ability/grenade/melee kill requirements and earning a fairly tiresome volume of points in nightfalls. Randy's quest was also an entire thing, but I'm a weirdo who loves playing the Crucible, so that's fine.

Anyway, minor gripes about FOMO-focused live service games aside, Destiny 2 is fun and comfy and fun.

It's Touhou! Give ZUN his beer money and wonder how an ice fairy can get a tan.

Very enjoyable metroidvania game. Run around, smacking people with a leaf, and probably dying a lot (unless you use some cheesy strats, which you probably don't need by the time you can use them anyway).

Took about 4 hours to get the true ending with 100% map (but not 100% items, missed over half the bugs and at least one health upgrade), but they were 4 very enjoyable hours.

A cute, short-ish, kinetic VN about how Melbourne is the best city in the world a cute caligrapher and her holiday-style adventures in Melbourne, the best city in the world general vicinity of Melbourne.

It's also loaded with links to short videos that the developer took around the city, which is really cool, you can see all sorts of cool Melbourne sights. I really liked these videos, because I am apparently much more of a sap for my hometown than I originally thought.

Very very cute, although based upon your feelings towards Vol. 1, you probably already know if you want this or not.

It is pretty short (I can't imagine anyone taking more than an hour, and that's being generous), but given how great cute catgirls are (and the price being so low), it's not an issue.

Bonus points for the petting mode, I would legitimately play NEKOPARA Clicker, for more than the handful of minutes I might play any other clicker-style game.

Probably the most fun I've had with a match-3 game since I full on no-lifed with Puzzle Quest back in 2007/8, HuniePop is a gloriously smooth match-3 game, and as an added bonus it has many numbers that go up, which is the best feature a game can have.

Also there are lewd-times with anime ladies, if that's your jam. Although I guess if that's like your anti-jam then you're probably not going to enjoy yourself? I dunno, make your own judgement call there.
